Two Republican senators who turned against Donald Trump after the release of a damning 2005 video appear to have reversed their positions.
The first to do was Sen. Deb Fischer of Nebraska, who had called for Trump to step aside and cede the GOP nomination to his running mate, Gov. Mike Pence. She now says she will vote for Trump.
"I plan to vote for Mr. Trump and Mr. Pence on Nov. 8," she said Tuesday on Lincoln radio station KLIN.
"I put out a statement ... with regard to Mr. Trump's comments," she said of her initial response to the video, in which Trump boasts of grabbing women without their consent.
"I felt they were disgusting. I felt they were unacceptable, and I never said I was not voting for our Republican ticket....

What a sorry excuse for "leaders."
As Margaret Thatcher once said, “Don’t go wobbly on me now!”
TWINKIE IS VOTING TRUMP!!!!!
Deb Fischer thanks. You gave me the best laugh I have had today. How stupid do you think we are? You got caught with your panties down, and now you are trying to cover your azz.
Arnold Schwarzenegger called for Trump to step down??? That is so funny. Living in CA, I well remember when this fraud was found to have slept with his housekeeper who ended up having his child.
Right under the nose of his wife, he was boffing the homely Latina. He even makes Bill Clinton well-behaved. The one word that comes to mind every time I think about our former governor is DISGUSTING.
Yeah, how about thinking before you speak? Why didn’t they do that instead of having to look like idiots?
Thune has a lot of support here in SD, but there are also a lot of people ticked. I’m not voting for him.
I will give props to Kristi Noem - she has stood by her support of Trump.
I would love to see a collection of the Oh Shit expressions on their faces. I wonder what her sinful acts have been?
It appears that these turncoats only figured out which side their bread was buttered on, after they dropped it face down on the floor.
I'm assuming the turn about came after they saw and heard the smoldering smoking piles of plastic where the phone and email computer used to sit.
The reason why outright aholes, traitors and crooks like Obama and the clintons are elected is because we have POS republican bedwetting neoCons like Bush representing the Republican brand.
Sane people paying attention to politics would never vote for Clinton or Obama. Stupid people watching a demoncrat posing as a republican(ie Gw Bush) jump to the conclusion that all republicans are this way. Stupid bumbling neocon doofers who never defend themselves. No wonder why these morons turn to another choice. “Change” “Change” “si se puede”
It's not hard to figure out. In order for this country to survive the left must be defeated everywhere, starting with the Repubikan party. Pull till ya hear pop you rino lovin cruzhole
They are changing their positions so fast they need to be checked for whiplash.
I would agree with you except the libs are just as bad from the other direction. Only they don’t eat their young.
The libs, in their actions, are wiser than the GOP. They use the media, lie across the board about their intentions, and take advantage of the voters by cheating in elections and not caring whether they get caught at it. Power is everything with them and they will stop at nothing to get it. They do not care who gets under the bus and have tried to convert the country from democracy to socialism for over 80 years.
Look at the email debacle: She used an illegal server for her primary, she knowingly violated numerous COMSEC and OPSEC restrictions which includes talk around, DOD, homeland Security, and military, which is espionage, she instructed her subordinates how to bypass the coding and control system of the internet so they could downgrade sensitive information, which is treason. and the head of the FBI, Comey, whose brother does her taxes for her foundation that is currently under examination for tax violations among other things, says she didn’t intend to do it. Didn’t intend to do it? And she’s being recognized as the DNC presidential candidate? The boat sailed, I wasn’t on it.

That hypocrite Mark Sanford has some nerve acting all pious and judgmental after his treatment of his ex-wife and his constituents while having an affair and lying about his trysts by saying he was hiking on the Appalachian trails.
He makes me sick!

I’ll give you my initial thought, and then the softer version. I know as a ‘98er you can handle it.
Initial thought: Thanks a lot jackass, your exercise in retribution, falls on “We the People” We have to live with your vote for democrats regardless of the state of the Republican’s running against the dems. An example would be those louts who thought the same in the last two elections who gave us, the grand muslim.
After consideration: Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Still, voting for democrats in my humble opinion, NEVER works out and the rest of us good people have to put up with the possible consequences. An example would be you thinking how you have had to put up with the blizzard of manure from mainstream republican’s all these years, and now it’s your turn to get even, without thought for the millions of folks who don’t necessarily share your vision of things.
Gee, my Governor and Senior Senator hiding in that list. Who would have guessed? Anyone with a lick of sense and a view of past history that’s who.
Well said. The dastardly plan “So go ahead and burn it down by all means and vote them out now”, IMHO doesn’t have a chance in H E double Q of passing, it’s the idiotic thought that counts, which you have so smoothly debunked.
Mark Sanford (and probably a lot of others) have a lot of gall.
You can add to the list my Rep from WA - Dave Reichert. I called both his DC Rep office and his local WA campaign office and voiced my views on Tues stating that I support Trump, have voted for Reichert previously but would not vote for him if he came out against Trump (Reichert had been mum until yesterday).
WA Congressman Dave Reichert wont vote for Trump in wake of comments about women
