Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are in a virtual tie one week after their first debate.
The latest Rasmussen Reports White House Watch national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters shows Clinton with 42% support and Trump with 41%. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson has inched back up to match his high of nine percent (9%), while Green Party nominee Jill Stein remains in last place with two percent (2%). Another two percent (2%) like some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Yesterday, it was Clinton 43%, Trump 40%. Factoring in our +/- 2.5 margin of error, both candidates continue to hover around the 40% mark as they have for weeks now, looking for a breakaway moment to put some distance between them and their opponent. Some saw Clintons debate performance as that moment, and it did move her slightly ahead after trailing by five points the week before. But the race appears to be tightening again.
Eighty-three percent (83%) of voters now say they are certain how they will vote, and Clinton has a statistically insignificant 48% to 47% lead among this group. Among the voters who still may change their minds, its Trump 31%, Clinton 27%, Johnson 32% and Stein 10%.
The vice presidential candidates debate this evening, and well tell you at 10:30 a.m. today how important voters consider that clash.
Rasmussen Reports updates its White House Watch survey daily Monday through Friday at 8:30 am based on a three-day rolling average of 1,500 Likely U.S. Voters.

Deeply flawed poll. It must be at least D+90 with a 50+ pt lead for Hillary to be considered acceptable.
This can’t be right. Surely she is up by 10 points as per CNN, Fox and all other outlets. (/src)
Hillary on now talking about the nonissue of Trump remarking on PTSD. SHE LOOKS LIKE HELL.
Didn’t Rasmussen have Trump up by 5 a week ago?
I don’t think so.
Yes, they reported an 8 point bounce for Hillary from the debate!
I was just watching Hillary’s news conference, the backdrop appeared to be three serpents swallowing three American flags. Deliberate or accidental?
I’m willfully gullible. Let it be so.
Dead cat bounce is over.
It really is amazing with this polling.
Last night I had to listen to Sabato talk about Hillary’s comeback and he put her at a 65% chance of winning.
Then today I turned on fox for about 1 minute and some guest was touting how good cankles is doing and how Trump is in a free fall.
Joe Walsh Talk Radio Chicago is talking now about how none of the Republican leaders have been at any rallys with Donald Trump, and That Trump in on his own against Hillary and top Democrat leaders who have been on the road with her.
Joe Walsh just said that we need to remember that if he loses to Hillary that when Donald Trump needing the backing of the GOP, they never showed up for him.

Were at a crucial point in this country, and Im excited to take the debate right to listeners throughout Chicagoland and the greater New York metropolitan area via the airwaves. The radio program is a great platform to help grow a freedom movement which is already gaining momentum across the country. I do with this program what I did as a U.S. Congressman speak plainly, speak directly, not worry about political correctness, and engage in respectful, engaging debate with all viewpoints. This is just too important of a time for all of us to do anything less. I look forward to speaking with you each evening and hearing from you.
