If you are the status quo candidate in a change election in which the national mood is sour and two-thirds of the electorate think the country is on the wrong track, what do you do? Attack. Relentlessly. Paint your opponent as extremist, volatile, clueless, unfit, dangerous. Indeed, Hillary Clinton’s latest national ad, featuring major Republican politicians echoing that indictment of Donald Trump, ends thus: “Unfit. Dangerous. Even for Republicans.”
That was the theme of Clinton’s famous “alt-right” speech and of much of her $100 million worth of ads.
Problem is, it’s not working.
Over the past month, Trump’s new team, led by Kellyanne Conway, has worked single-mindedly to blunt that line of attack, on the theory that if he can just cross the threshold of acceptability, he wins. In an act of brazen rebranding, they set out to endow him with stature and empathy....

Krauthammer lost me early in this election season when he totally discounted the possibility that anyone but Hillary, Bush or perhaps Rubio could possibly be our next a President.
And this was going on as we Freepers argued about Trump vs Cruz who we correctly believed would be the finalists on the GOP side. And while the great majority of Freepers had foreseen correctly that Trump would win the nomination and was the likely winner in November against Hillary.
So that Political Commentator Genius label that Krauthammer wears has faded for me. I no longer see any value in his opinion on anything let alone Trump vs Hillary.
Well, that’s it - Trump is doomed. Doomed I tell you.

Hillary is now on a demented tweet rant. She and the MSM got schlonged by Trump today and they are coming undone. Good times.
I used to watch him a lot. Dumped him when he stood against Trump.He can go fly a kite.
I’m beginning to think the more she lashes out and reacts to Trump, the more we will see dizzy spells, coughing fits...you name it. It probably spikes her BP, too.
When she can’t handle the heat, she resorts to one of the above tactics.
On election night 2008, Krauthammer was beside himself with joy on Fox News when it looked like Obama was going to win. I’ll never forget it.

I remember that after one of the debates with Obama, she was wrecked out and even cried she was so upset. I must have seen a video because that’s how I remember of things.
One of my in laws will be voting for Trump, but he miss read Scott's tweet and thought that he was saying Illiarily would win. His wife and kids had to help him with this Tweet!
I don’t think people will buy into her tears this time.
