As a Constitutional lawyer, Texas Senator Ted Cruz knows a thing or two about the law.
As a conservative senator, he knows what a tank of sharks Washington, D.C. can be.
After today’s announcement by FBI Director James Comey that Hillary Clinton would skate on charges of wrongdoing, in regards to her hiding, destroying, and total mishandling of sensitive emails, Senator Cruz made a strong statement.
From his Facebook page, and in its entirety:
While I have tremendous respect for the dedicated men and women of the FBI, I have serious concerns about the integrity of Director Comey’s decision, and how it threatens the rule of law.
Director Comey has rewritten a clearly worded federal criminal statute. In so doing, he has come dangerously close to saying that grossly negligent handling of classified information should not result in serious consequences for high-level officials. In a nation where the rule of law is supposed to matter, this is troubling.
Yesterday, Americans celebrated the 240th birthday of our Republic. We honored not only those who fought and died to defend our way of life, but the constitutional Republic for which they sacrificed. If we are to remain a beacon of hope and freedom for the rest of the world, it is incumbent upon us to ensure that we remain a nation of laws, and that our laws apply equally and fairly to us all. Under President Obama, we have seen the most politicized Department of Justice in history; I very much hope that politicization has not similarly corrupted the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I join my Senate Judiciary colleagues, including Chairman Grassley, in calling for public transparency of, and full access to, all the information that the FBI used to come to today’s dubious decision.
I dare say, unless you have a transcript of the “chance” meeting between Hillary’s lecherous, corrupt husband, and the equally corrupt Attorney General Loretta Lynch from last week, you won’t get the whole story.
I’ll go further and say that Clinton’s recent suggestion that she may keep Lynch on as AG, once she rousts her pal, Trump, in the general election, doesn’t seem like a “You scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours” scenario, at all!
Or maybe just a little.
These are the reasons we need men like Senator Cruz in the Senate.
The only “powerful response” that matters would be his full-throated and widely broadcast endorsement of Donald Trump for POTUS.

America has become a nation of leaders whom will take no responsibility for there are actions, 4 Americans died because Hillary Lied. Richard Milehouse nixon basically erased 18 Minutes of tape that became watergate. Hillary Clinton eleminated 30 emails many of whivh contained sensitive and secret information. The Clinton Foundation has had their records sealed till 2018. The state department is now sealing records of Hillary till October 2018. What are they trying to hide. Today my hillary for Prison 2016 Flag was delivered and hoisted up the flag pole. It will stay their until hell freezes over if need be!

I am all for Trump and know that is true for FR. And yet, Ted Cruz is right about his assessment of the law and Clinton’s flagrant disregard for protecting classified secrets of the government. I met Senator Cruz about 15 months ago at Hobby airport: when I asked him his assessment of the likely democrat nominee, he said “she is at the center of all the corruption in Washington”. He should know.
Why should we expect her to face any consequences for mishandling state secrets and lying about it? After all, she got away with actual murder of a United States Ambassador, with no consequences.
The federal government is behaving as if it is one giant criminal enterprise.
This decision by Comey to put Hillary above the law is exactly why Ted Cruz needs to help save our Republic.
Mr. Cruz please put your Country first and back Trump. There will be nothing to save after Hillary gets done with America.

For me, Cruz was the best man running.
At this point, though, we know that the obamists have no fear of any sitting senator. They can call for anything they want, Obama and his gang will just spit in their eyes.
Only one thing do they fear, and its a President Trump.
There is only one chance any of this gets investigated by an independent FBI and that is a President Trump.
Cruz can spend the next 8 years shouting from the bottom of a well at all the corruption we are drowning in, or he can endorse, full-throated, President Trump.

My good guess is we won’t know what really went on with the Lynch/Bill Clinton jet plane ride for a long time.
