Wisconsin Pro-Life Group Backs Ted Cruz Over Donald Trump: He’s “Always Been Pro-Life”
Life News ^ | March 28, 2016 | Steven Ertelt

Posted on 03/29/2016 7:54:06 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Ahead of Tuesday’s primary election contest in Wisconsin, the state pro-life group Wisconsin Right to Life issued an endorsement for pro-life Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz over GOP rival Donald Trump.

In a statement to LifeNews.com the organization said Cruz is the only candidate int he race who has always been pro-life and has the ability to defeat pro-abortion Hillary Clinton in November.

“Wisconsin Right to Life’s Political Action Committee supports Ted Cruz as the only presidential candidate with a proven record on life who can win,” the group said.

“There has never been an election more important than this election, and the stakes have never been higher when it comes to protecting the unborn,” stated Chelsea Shields, PAC Director of Wisconsin Right to Life. “There is only one candidate for president who has always been pro-life, who has a 100% pro-life voting record with National Right to Life and Wisconsin Right to Life, and who can win the Republican nomination and defeat pro-abortion Hillary Clinton in November. And that candidate is Ted Cruz.”

The pro-life organziation said that, as president, Ted Cruz would work to restore legal protections to unborn babies and their mothers, protect unborn babies from abortion, including painful and barbaric dismemberment abortions, appoint judges who protect life, and keep your tax dollars from paying for abortion.

“For these reasons, Wisconsin Right to Life’s Political Action Committee is urging every pro-life voter in Wisconsin to vote for Ted Cruz in the Presidential Preference Primary on April 5th,” the group concluded.

Cruz has a 100% pro-life voting record as a member of the Senate . On 10 total votes on pro-life issues taken while has has served in the Senate, Cruz voted pro-life every single time.

The votes tallied by the national Right to Life Committee include multiple votes supporting a bill to de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business over the years, votes to repeal or de-fund Obamacare, which uses taxpayer funds to pay for abortions as well as votes to protect the conscience rights of pro-life Americans.

In a recent interview, Cruz expound on his pro-life views and said that pro-abortion Democrats use the issue of contraception to try to attack pro-life Republicans and make them look like extremists.

Cruz gave an interview last week to the Catholic news network EWTN and he asked Cruz about some comments he made supporting contraception. The Texas senator said he was pushing back against a Democratic “political attack that was deliberately deceptive.”

“I am unequivocally pro-life, I believe that every life is a precious gift from God that needs to be protected from the moment of conception until the moment of natural death,” he said.

Believe me I completely understand. I spend much of my time avoiding the slings and arrows from Trumsters.

Can you prove the extra-marital affairs or is this just more rumor and character assassination (such as by Roger Stone, who helped start the attacks)?

By the way, isn’t Trump the king of sexual affairs in this presidential race?

So real conservatives shouldn’t take a chance on Cruz because the affairs just might be true.

INSTEAD, let’s go with Trump, who dumped two wives for mistresses and has apparently had scores of adulterous affairs? sarcasm intended.

It’s laughable, too, that Trump a liberal for 40 years and a conservative for six month should be the nominee of the GOP. That’s really NUTS.

Let’s remember that:
— Trump is the candidate who backed the Obama bailout;
— Trump is the candidate who supported the Obama stimulus;
— Trump is the candidate who in 2009 viciously attacked former president George W. Bush and praised the efforts of Obama as he went on his apology tour.
— Trump is the candidate who gave money to 6 of the 8 members of the gang of eight who supported amnesty — and in 2013 met with illegal aliens in America and said they had a “just cause.”
— Trump is the candidate who has supported abortion and even partial-birth abortion for much of his life. Ten national and Iowa pro-life leaders said “VOTE FOR ANY GOP CANDIDATE EXCEPT TRUMP.”
— Trump is the candidate who was fined $1 million by the federal government for hiring illegal Polish workers. In a debate he denied that fact — but Rubio and Cruz both said it was true — and Trump was exposed as a liar.
—Trump is the candidate who has dumped two wives for mistresses;
—Trump is the candidate who has celebrated — in two of his books — that he is a serial adulterer and that he has bedded some really important women who seemingly had good marriages.
—Trump is the candidate who has said that if he is denied the nomination there will be riots. The last contested GOP convention that I recall as a young supporter of Ronald Reagan was in 1976. I don’t recall Reagan saying that if he lost there would be riots. Reagan understood that as a presidential candidate he was to remain classy and calm and not incite trouble. But then Reagan was a great man, one of America’s greatest presidents, and Donald Trump is a thug.

Anyone that wants to be president in 2016 has to have something really wrong with them in my opinion. Waiting and seeing is about all we have at this point, I figure.

I shall emend my statement, and change the word from "troll' to "Cruzbot".

I think that there is literally a reasonable suspicion that at least one of the children in those picture, may not have been sired by Amanda's husband, based on the statistics I mentioned in my post #13, in conjunction with the identification of Amanda as one of the rumored mistresses in the Enquirer story, Amanda's tweets and Instagrams, and other evidence which you would find distasteful (e.g. tracking the dates of an RNC convention to the birth of one of the children being 9 months), as well as the photographs.

Not to mention Cruz's and Snarly's behaviour at the press conference which I described in a recent vanity. The reported handed him a lifeline of words to say to make the scandal go away, and he declined; Snarly stepped in for him.

And, finally, rumors of that near-breakdown by Heidi: consistent with having found out Ted had had an affair; and her disappearance from campaign events instead of standing by him: and rumors floating around of her having filed for divorce a few years back and then withdrawing the filing (or something similar).

I am not insisting, nor jumping up and down saying "this proves it!" : but, if it IS true, we should politically slam Cruz back into the stone age or worse. Washington is enough of a cesspool, that if we have this many "coincidences" we owe it to ourselves and the political process, to check them out. We don't have to check Trump out because he has openly admitted his affairs: hypocrisy, and therefore the ability to lie to people who trust him, is therefore not one of his besetting sins: which is important when one is placed in a position of stewardship under tremendous pressure.

Trump has been faithful to Melania since he married her, since there are no allegations by any woman or rumors of an affair with Donald during his marriage. I guess with a young and attractive wife like Melania, he does not need any affairs.

I am guessing voters are not worried about Trump's past since it has all been in the news already. Voters must be more worried about lack of a huge wall, Trillion dollar foreign trade deficits, 11-30 million illegals not deported, 94 million American adults without jobs, 47 million on food stamps etc etc.

Do not respond to me again about this. You crossed the line with me and I do not care to read your rationalization for posting that group of photos.

Since he’s been an adulterer and a Democrat for most of his life, I would suggest that you and other Trump supporters really have NO IDEA what you’re foisting on the nation.

It will be interesting, if Trump wins by some curse, to see if you and his backers are right, or if people like me who support Cruz are right that Trump has a few screws loose.

To answer your valid question, If Trump was running as a bible thumping religiously pious person, an article such as published in National Enquirer, then Trump would be in serious trouble being exposed as a seriously phony person and a hypocrite. It is Cruz’s religiosity is what makes the National Enquirer story an attention grabber.

When I was younger and thought my girlfriend was pregnant, i was willing to look into PP as a "solution". Turns out she wasn't so we didn't have to go down that dark route. Today, I am 100% pro-life and today, my decisions and worldviews are affected by that - not by my previous uninformed/un-thought-out views.

Most of us have 'evolved" our views over the years and it's the end product that counts - else we might as well all look at each other as infants in shitty diapers.
