An appeal to Trump and Cruz supporters
American Thinker ^ | March 28, 2016 | Lee Cary

We must resist the Socialist Democrats’ effort to forge, with the MSM’s aid, an irreparable split between us.

Full disclosure: I voted for Cruz in the Texas primary. If Trump is the GOP nominee, I’ll vote for him in November.

I will not approach, in either case, the voting booth as I voted for McRomney, with a pinched nose. But with zeal. If my car won’t start, I’ll walk to the polling booth – only because I’m too old to run.

Today, some Trump supporters are feeling surrounded by three camps: one from the GOPe’s Machiavellian efforts to find a third way other than Trump or Cruz; by Slithery Hillary’s sustained but weakening campaign, inevitably touted by rigged polling; and by that Anglo army of Comrade Bernie supporters made up of aging Democrat Socialists aligned with college-aged snowflakes who were never taught the definition and history of socialism by the progressive academies of “higher education.”

Meanwhile, for Trump and Cruz, the other is the immediate adversary – as it should be at this point. But we will all pass this point.

As the interim mud wrestling between the two leading Republican candidates continues, let’s remember we share a serious and common adversary who will, eventually, require us to unite: the final POTUS candidate of the Democrat Socialist Party....

I have zero Ill will towards Cruz supporters. I happen to think their BS meters need calibrating, but the debate will sharpen all of our minds and instincts, so as long as when the whistle blows we’re ready to shake hands ... And I’m not talking about the very vocal minority who are in it merely to puff themselves up by saying things they would never dare say to your face... Think we’ll be fine. As pointed out before ... In all the hero movies ... The good guys beat the crap out of each other in frustration before they turn it on the real enemy. But best not to accumulate too many future apologies owed. A second thought before hitting send is a good thing ... I’ve let one or two fly that I’d like to take back either for lack of logic or more force than thought. Our bond is way more important than the two pols over whom were fighting ... And I’ll only speak for myself. We

The money is “pouring in” to Bernie Sanders in amazing amounts, yet he’s still losing.

Only because of the criminal enterprise also known as the DNC...Giving Clinton hundreds of delegates before the primaries even started...What a racket...

Guess that's kinda like the RNC making up rules a week before the convention so they can dictate who wins the nomination regardless of the votes of the people or delegates...

If Trump goes Independent he will keep all of his supporters and probably pick up most of Bernie's supporters...Should be a landslide win...

Do you have the same response for those on the thread who state they won’t vote for Cruz if he’s the nom?

If the RNC steals the election from Trump and they give it to Cruz, he will not get my vote...

Thank you! I will vote for Trump or Cruz. I will even hold my nose and vote for Kasich. I would vote for anyone to keep Hillary or Bernie from winning. It’s time to stop bickering and focus on what is important: keeping a Democrat out of the White House.

If she gets in it’s really over with. We already saw 8 years of a dirtbag and I really don’t think we can survive another four if shillary gets in.

We are not going to survive if the GOPe gets back in either...Open borders...Do you guys really understand what open borders curtails???

Loss of USA sovereignty...There will be no need to move more jobs offshore because the whole of South America will be here taking what's left of our jobs and will do it for 1.70 per hour...

The GOPe does not have good plans for America...

Have noticed that many of the most strident and irrational signed up in August of 2015.

How did “little Bush” win twice without the aforementioned Reagan Democrats and Independents? Or Nixon?

Bush ran as a 'compassionate' conservative...A Republican lite...And even the Democrats knew Gore was a nut case...Cruz isn't a compassionate anything...He's hardcore right wing...He'll get none of their votes...

So “hardcore right wing” is a bad thing now on Free Republic? Explains a lot.

You couldn't be more wrong, Trump is the antithesis of B-Hussein-O who is an outright in-your-face traitor to the USofA in EVERYTHING he has, is, and will continue to do,
denegrate the USA,
incapacitate the USA,
infiltrate (with the enemy)the USA,
bankrupt the USA,
wreak havoc on the USA,
decieve the USA,
befriend/harbor/stroke USA's enemies, etc.

Anti-Trump is same as pro-traitor.

Ted Cruz is the longest-serving Solicitor General in Texas history. So much for your theory.

I have a mental list I keep and tag their threads with paidtrumptroll. Feel free to do the same. I will search the keyword after the election and see how often they post. My bet is not too often.

I used to feel the same way, and I donated early on to Cruz, but I'm praying for my WI FReeper family, friends and communities to bring decisive victory to Trump on Tuesday, and put Cruz and Kasich behind our fight with Hillary and Bernie!

I don't like Trump, and I'll be embarrassed to have to vote for him. His lunatic suppoters, even some on FR? I'd bust them in the mouth in real life. I really loathe them to pieces.

But to say he is Obama in different clothes has got to be one of the most non-sensicle things I have read here on FR. If I have to hide my head in Shame to vote for Trump over Hillary (or Bernie), I would crawl over broken glass to do so. I'll tell everyone I know that "I ain't votin", but you can bet that I will do that which gives us the best chance.

If I find someone on the fence about whom to vote for, then I'll find something good to say about Trump and try to win them over.

This election is for real, its for THE GOODS, too many judges are going to be turned over. We have to do the BEST we can with WHAT we've got.

Tell you what, if there is a group on here that pisses me off more than the Trumpbots, its the "won't vote for Trumpers". Take your ball and go home already, sheesh.

Sorry, I’ll never for Cruz. He’s nothing more than worse than Obama.

The Stupid is heavy, on both sides....

So “hardcore right wing” is a bad thing now on Free Republic? Explains a lot.

So you couldn't give us any insight on how Cruz is going to appeal to the necessary Democrat and Independent voters eh??? But yet we should vote for Cruz so he can lose to Hillary???
