If Romney had attacked Obama 10% during his entire 2012 campaign, compared to his attack on Trump yesterday, he might have won in 2012.

This clearly shows the GOP Elites attack republican voters more than their democrat opponents. The GOPe house needs strong fumigation by an outsider. None of the career politicians servicing their cheap labor express rich donors will ever change anything. It is time to stop the charade. We have been fooled long enough.

Pray Americans are waking up.

If Mitt would have gone after Hussein like he did Donald, he would be president and we would probably listen to him!

No sale Mitt. Go strap yer dog to the roof again.

Mitt should just be honest, come out of the closet, and admit he’s a democrat.

Romney tried character assassination against Trump, and did a reasonable job of it. Sadly, it talked not of promoting ANY candidate, but of only assuring NO CANDIDATE wins outright, unless it’s not Trump, simply so that the GOP picks their guy at the contested convention.

Mitt will now be forever known as a loser and an attempted hack spoiler.

He can’t win himself, so he wants to bring down the one crab getting ready to climb out of the crab pot.

It’s sad, actually. We gave him money when he won the previous nomination.

Poor sport spoiler Romney doing what he does best:

Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"

Said Novak: "The rumors were traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson
."

"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

It was great. I left the republicans 20 years ago - voted for some but wasn’t one. Came back and have recently called myself one for Trump. Romney reminded me it’s the candidate not the party.

Poor Romney he just trashed what ever small bit of credibility he still had attacking Trump and even the National Review didn’t give him Kudos.

The cataloguing of Trump’s failings is irrelevant to many of them – in fact, in a perverse way, the more of a rogue he is, the more he becomes just the middle-finger they want to flip at Washington.

,i>So while Trump has to be attacked, attacking him in a manner that just reminds convincible voters of everything they detest about Republican leaders is counterproductive. It is worse than nothing.

Medium kudos to McCarthy...who I used to be a YUGE fan of....for calling out McRomney. McCarthy is NOT a Trump fan, so this was either his 'I FINALLY see the writing on the wall" moment, or his CYA post.

Two-faced Romney was the ideal RINO to launch the slam against front-running, eventual nominee Mr. Donald Trump because Willard represents EVERYTHING Trump supporters, like me totally HATE about the GOP-E and the reason I'm not voting for any politician or current office holder running for POTUS!

It's not a question of 'If Mitt had just attacked Obama/Democrats the way he attacked us" because ... you have to understand that Mitt was sincere then and now.

He hates you and me more than Obama. He actually does. It was never that he was too much of a puss (which he is) ... it's that they SINCERELY AGREE with the democrats and they are just sharing power.

So don't knock Romney - the guy is honest and sincere when he lectures you. He's only insincere when he speaks against democrats.

The act was not last night, it was during his campaign against O, the act of opposing him. That's how bad it is. They aren't weak - that's not their defining characteristic, they are the enemy. You can't even call it betrayal, because they were never on our side. Instead, they simply planned and succeeded tricking us, they planned it together, they won, and that's over now, and it's time to no longer play halfsies with the GOP because that's how they've accomplished the trick.

Our worst enemy was never the democrats, it was believing our front line was at least partially on our side. It was 0% on our side, and that was a conscious, agreed upon strategy by and between them, to make us believe that, and something they discussed and agreed to with the democrats.

Hate Donald all you want - he's the one who exposed it, whether he entirely intended specifically to expose it or just because he was his own awesome authentic prick self. God tends to favor authentic prick over fake compassionate or socially gentle without action by the way, for those who are anti-trump only because they are too good for him. He may love you equally, but his hand will favor Trump's direction.

This clearly shows the GOP Elites attack republican voters more than their democrat opponents.

That's because the GOP E hate conservatives more than the rats.

NRO conservative impostors are finally realizing Mittens is a con man?

They endorsed him! And they watched him choking pursuing the case against Obama.

Let’s face it: #NeverTrump is dead because Mittens is now its public face.

The GOP establishment doesn’t get it.

There were two important things about the Romney speech:

1) It revealed that he knows how to attack. Therefore, he did not fail to attack Obama because he lacked the ability, he failed because he lacked the will.

2) The GOP "leaders" who put him up to it understood the need to attack a potential winner before it's too late. Therefore, the reason THEY failed to attack Obama in 2008 AND 2012 is NOT that they lacked understanding, it is that they lacked the will.

Quote from the article:

“Romney’s speech today was a well-conceived attack on Trump’s “brand” – a shredding of Trump’s business savvy as only Romney could do it because Romney “is a successful businessman from the world of Trump.”

Except that’s not true. Mitt Romney’s enormous financial success (I live less than a mile from his NH estate and know people who work for him here) was gained by financial manipulation. Nothing wrong with that, capitalism needs financiers.

But Mitt never built a tree house. His employees say he’s a good guy, and I believe it. But guys aren’t lining up to have a beer with him, either.

Donald Trump is, undoubtedly, every bad thing his enemies say he is. But he’s a real builder who got rich by building real things, and he made his sons learn trade skills before they moved into management.

Romney is, by no means, “from the world of Trump”.
