According to Romney in 2012: Donald Trump has shown an extraordinary ability to understand how our economy works and create jobs for the American people. Hes done it here in Nevada. Hes done it across the country. He understands that our economy is facing threats from abroad. He is one of the few people who stood up and said, You know what? China has been cheating. Theyve taken jobs from Americans. They havent played fair. We have to have a president who will stand up to cheaters. We believe in free trade and free enterprise, but we dont believe in allowing people to cheat, day in and day out.
I spent my life in the private sector not quite as successful as this guy [pointing to Trump]. Nonetheless, sufficiently successful to understand what it takes to get America to be the most attractive place in the world for innovators, entrepreneurs and business and job creators . So I want to say thank you to Donald Trump, and I look forward to seeing you out on the trail. Thank you, Donald.

This clearly shows the GOP Elites attack republican voters more than their democrat opponents. The GOPe house needs strong fumigation by an outsider. None of the career politicians servicing their cheap labor express rich donors will ever change anything. It is time to stop the charade. We have been fooled long enough.
Pray Americans are waking up.
No sale Mitt. Go strap yer dog to the roof again.
Mitt should just be honest, come out of the closet, and admit he’s a democrat.
Bookmarked.
Romney tried character assassination against Trump, and did a reasonable job of it. Sadly, it talked not of promoting ANY candidate, but of only assuring NO CANDIDATE wins outright, unless it’s not Trump, simply so that the GOP picks their guy at the contested convention.
Mitt will now be forever known as a loser and an attempted hack spoiler.
He can’t win himself, so he wants to bring down the one crab getting ready to climb out of the crab pot.
It’s sad, actually. We gave him money when he won the previous nomination.
Sorry, saw a picture of a dog in a crate strapped to his head, was not aware that there was a roof in between the crate and his head.
Poor sport spoiler Romney doing what he does best:
Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"
"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"
He has no problem with the ultra-corrupt Hillary becoming POTUS.
It was great. I left the republicans 20 years ago - voted for some but wasn’t one. Came back and have recently called myself one for Trump. Romney reminded me it’s the candidate not the party.
Poor Romney he just trashed what ever small bit of credibility he still had attacking Trump and even the National Review didn’t give him Kudos.
,i>So while Trump has to be attacked, attacking him in a manner that just reminds convincible voters of everything they detest about Republican leaders is counterproductive. It is worse than nothing.
Medium kudos to McCarthy...who I used to be a YUGE fan of....for calling out McRomney. McCarthy is NOT a Trump fan, so this was either his 'I FINALLY see the writing on the wall" moment, or his CYA post.
There you are. Now you’re talkin’.
Two-faced Romney was the ideal RINO to launch the slam against front-running, eventual nominee Mr. Donald Trump because Willard represents EVERYTHING Trump supporters, like me totally HATE about the GOP-E and the reason I'm not voting for any politician or current office holder running for POTUS!
He hates you and me more than Obama. He actually does. It was never that he was too much of a puss (which he is) ... it's that they SINCERELY AGREE with the democrats and they are just sharing power.
So don't knock Romney - the guy is honest and sincere when he lectures you. He's only insincere when he speaks against democrats.
The act was not last night, it was during his campaign against O, the act of opposing him. That's how bad it is. They aren't weak - that's not their defining characteristic, they are the enemy. You can't even call it betrayal, because they were never on our side. Instead, they simply planned and succeeded tricking us, they planned it together, they won, and that's over now, and it's time to no longer play halfsies with the GOP because that's how they've accomplished the trick.
Our worst enemy was never the democrats, it was believing our front line was at least partially on our side. It was 0% on our side, and that was a conscious, agreed upon strategy by and between them, to make us believe that, and something they discussed and agreed to with the democrats.
Hate Donald all you want - he's the one who exposed it, whether he entirely intended specifically to expose it or just because he was his own awesome authentic prick self. God tends to favor authentic prick over fake compassionate or socially gentle without action by the way, for those who are anti-trump only because they are too good for him. He may love you equally, but his hand will favor Trump's direction.
Romney was acting on orders. The powers were grasping at straws. And since it fell flat the other candidates last night were told to say they would support Trump if he wins the nomination. And Preibis (sp) started talking “no tricks at the convention”.
Congrats, Mitt! You were suckered.
Neither Mitt Romney, nor Juan McCain, nor Bobby Dole went after their democrat opponents with the gusto Mitt & Juan went after other republicans. They are despicable. I can not recall Bob Dole attacking other republicans, but I could be wrong on that.
If Romney has no better candidate and not running himself and only out there to sabotage Trump, then his speech achieve nothing but help Hillary
Yep, just a company man doing the company business.
Ping to all the good folks!
