SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Ted Cruz's campaign is trying to make the most of Gov. Nikki Haley's endorsement of Marco Rubio days ahead of the South Carolina primary: driving sky-high his political expectations here.
"If he doesn't finish first, this is a massive loss," Jason Miller, a senior Cruz adviser, said hours after news reports began circulating that Haley would endorse Rubio at a rally Wednesday evening. "Rubio has to win here."
Earlier this week, Jeb Bush had called Haley's endorsement "the most powerful, meaningful one in the state." Haley's backing of Rubio comes on top of the support of Sen. Tim Scott and Rep. Trey Gowdy, who cut a new radio ad for Rubio on Wednesday.
"He has the very popular sitting governor, very popular junior senator, very popular upstate congressman. He has every favorable position going for him that he could ever hope to have," Miller said of Rubio. "If Rubio can't win here, under these favorable circumstances, where can he win?"
Current polls show Rubio and Cruz battling each other for second place far behind South Carolina front-runner Donald Trump....

Very astute if indeed you did, and of course you will be posting a link to “that” prediction.
“make the most of Gov. Nikki Haley’s endorsement of Marco Rubio...”
Nikki Haley just gave the kiss-of-death to Rubio. Haley betrayed conservatives and the Tea Party who elected her. She’s dead meat rotting in the sun. Haley is in this primary to promote herself and maybe get a gig with a K Street lobbyist, promoting the wonders of importing Syrian ISIS terrorists into America. Worst governor in the South. Her approval ratings as governor just slipped below used car salesmen, rattlesnakes and skunks.
No emails so far from Trump asking for contributions.
I get emails badgering me for donations from all others since I have donated to RNC before.
Actually I have only bought merchandise from Trump campaign, and bought his books in book stores. I assume some of that money filters back to him.
You are welcome to search through my posts it you want. Or you can believe me or not. I’m certainly not going to lie about it. I tend to believe that in general when all the polls show the same thing they are fairly accurate. Trump and Cruz were very close in IA, and Trump had huge leads in NH and SC, so it’s not that astute a prediction. I also opined that a victory for Trump in IA would pretty much end it for Cruz, but a Cruz victory there would be a speed bump for Trump.
Ya I graduated at 16 in 1975- my senior friends flew into the District and accomplished much.
My dad was relocating so I went to summer school to avoid last year in strange location. So no was more circumspect than wise...
The 3 year jump on cirrhosis may become statistically relevant someday soon...
