If you had to vote in your state primary/caucus today, knowing what you know now about the various declared and probable candidates, who would you vote for? Why? Who would you like to see as the running mate for your preferred candidate? If you could help staff your candidates cabinet and other top appointments, who would you choose? If you could recommend different congressional leaders than we have now, who would they be? And who would you like to see on the Supreme Court and why? And finally, feel free to donate to Free Republic.

My vote is for Trump because he has the best chance of winning against Hillary.
Yes, I like Ted Cruz, but I don't think his chance of Winning is as good as Trumps. Since this election is America's last chance, I have to say Trump. Eight years of Hillary and we're done.
Victory is the key. The best chance for Victory is Trump.
That simplifies it for me.
And VP? Cruz, but my heart would still like to see a Trump/Palin ticket. Take That Hillary!

Trump/Cruz and then Cruz the next election if Trump does not run. I love Cruz, but I think Trump will do better against Hillary on this run. Plus, we need a businessman like Trump to clean up the Obama poop and get the engines running again.

Plus....whoever he selects as his veep running mate...and we will be very, very pleased.
I don't know how many times it has to be posted on FR that Ted Cruz announced last week in a radio interview that he would NOT accept veep on a Trump or any other ticket.
Yet those multitudes posting on this thread who want such a dream ticket continue to dream on and on and on....

I believe that, in general Cruz would chose well and the personal dynamics would be best left to the President. The idea of Gowdy as AG does bring a smile.
I’d re-register as a Republican and vote for Ted Cruz. (And given how disgusted I am with the GOP, that’s saying something!)
They why do it again by being "against" Trump, who is generating enormous popular support? You need to think as if you are in the middle of the bell curve, not at the conservative end, if you want "our side" to actually win this election. Your point of view is a minority point of view and cannot carry the general -- look around you. Do you see the younger voters going for a guy who preaches to them, when they are interested in television, movies, electronic devices, sex, victimology, social justice and kinky stuff, and many are still living home because they have been spoiled by their once-affluent parents and have no prospects for permanent employent in the Bush/Obama economy?
I know what you posted, and pointed out your logical inconsistencies. Please reread it and think it over. I mean you no harm.

The running mate that Trump picks will be as smart as he is, so many have said he has to pick someone who can draw from the other side, meaning the House and Senate...personally I would like Trump to pick someone like a retired General, that is like Trump...back bone of steel, and says it like it is...either the House and Senate will go along and start to help put this Country back together, or they will be left out and then it's up to us to call, email and write our House and Senate and put the heat on...that's our job as getting things done...
For to long these spineless sissies in the House and Senate think they are in charge, no they are not, WE THE PEOPLE ARE, and it's time we act like it....
