If you had to vote in your state primary/caucus today, knowing what you know now about the various declared and probable candidates, who would you vote for? Why? Who would you like to see as the running mate for your preferred candidate? If you could help staff your candidates cabinet and other top appointments, who would you choose? If you could recommend different congressional leaders than we have now, who would they be? And who would you like to see on the Supreme Court and why? And finally, feel free to donate to Free Republic.
Cruz, the most principled, consistent constitutionalist running, and the one Republican I think I could trust with 2-4 Supreme Court nominations.
He’s perfectly in accord with that.

Have you not been watching the fights on the floor of the Senate? Who do you think that was fighting the Establishment, sometimes all by himself, time after time after time?
It was Ted Cruz.
That’s not what he said. He said (correctly) that under the Constitution, marriage is a state matter, and that is where he would have it decided.

Today I’e heard a couple of people floating Nikki Haley for VP.

His only problem is he hasn't been winning those fights.
Trump has no such problem.

He has not won a lot of battles in a Senate that until a year ago was controlled by Democrats. The Republican Establishment would rather surrender than fight. That is why Ted Cruz has been fighting them.
He would take those values to the White House and use the power of the presidency to fight those fights.
