BETTENDORF, Iowa â Ted Cruz looks out on a room packed with voters. It's the last stop in a three-day, 16-county swing. Time for one more joke.
He goes for a fan favorite, the one about the White House jumper. But this time he tweaks the punchline just a bit, perhaps more for himself than anybody there.
âYou may have missed it, but actually this morning, a second person was climbing the fence of the White House,â Cruz says, pausing for effect. âThe Secret Service ran up and said, 'Not yet Hillary! Not yet! And not ever!â
He delivers the line with a chuckle and a smirk as the crowd erupts in laughter.
The first-term senatorâs stump speech closely resembles a stand-up comedy routine, drawing on the ample use of gestures, strong facial expressions and a variety of vocal inflections and pauses; it repeats the same laugh lines over and over, with the same fervor each time, often picking out voters in the audience and addressing them directly. It has gotten him in trouble in the past, like when he joked about Joe Biden just after his son passed away, and when he cracked wise about gun control immediately after the massacre in Charleston, South Carolina....

No problem, everyone has their own thoughts.
I personally chose Mr. Cruz because I love his accent and boots. Whereas yankee accents turn me off. That shut down the debate for me, over! No changing my mind.
Before reading this thread, I read through one from another MSM outlet that said Cruz needed to soften his image. This article talks about a crowd erupting in laughter.
Seems that the MSM is throwing everything they can at the wall and hoping something sticks.
The fear is palpable. I wonder if they know they’re viewed with a combination of pity and derision?
As great as Cruz is, he does not have the ability to break through to wider Republican acceptance, let alone the wherewithal to defeat the leftist tsunami of Hillary propaganda.
Cruz ought to drop out and endorse Trump NOW for his good and the long term good of America. Cruz will be president in good time, just not now.
The guy is a frothing Trumpty Dumpty.

Trump Carson Cruz Rubio
That poll is utter garbage with Bush getting almost twice the support of Rubio not to mention Cruz having a ridiculously low number. Its not even close any of the other polls and is worthless.
Cruz is the MSM’s absolute last miserable hope for stopping the Trump Train.
At the very least Cruz(while being the best non-Trump option) is a conventional politician that they can attempt to Palinize through a year-long, mind-bendingly horrific public vilification campaign.
Cruz would dance his careful, polite, conventional conservative game and get steamrolled by Hilldog and her minions. Trump would just laugh and plow through the traitor media.
You must base that on what all the Left and its allies are telling us.
Do you support anyone? Do you do it with actual work for or donations to their campaign or is the "support just pearls of "wisdom"?
The next is for general consumption, but it never hurts to see if it relates...
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader
PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....
GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!
