Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Donald Trump are neck-and-neck among likely Republican presidential primary voters in Texas, according to a new poll.
Cruz and Trump each receive 27 percent support in the University of Texas/Texas Tribune survey released Thursday, followed by Ben Carson at 13 percent.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) follows at 9 percent, while Jeb Bush, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Carly Fiorina each take 4 percent.
Cruz also leads as the second-choice candidate for voters there with 19 percent, while Trump is the second choice for 15 percent. Carson is also the runner-up pick for 19 percent.
Bush tops the list of Republicans that voters would "definitely not support" for the GOP nomination at 25 percent, with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) second at 22 percent.
Cruz and Rubio sparred for attention in the fourth GOP debate this week as both candidates rise toward Trump and Carson, who have been leading national polls.
The survey of 542 registered Texas voters was conducted Oct. 30 to Nov. 8 with a margin of error of 4.2 percent.

Gotta admit, Trump vs Cruz is a tough choice.
No. This is far more believable than those Magical-Mystical polls where Carson gains in a vacuum. Cruz high in Texas? Plausible... More so than Carson in a previous TX poll
Not really. Cruz is squishy on immigration. 2013 amnesty bill, he supported a legal status, short of citizenship, but a legal status none the less.

Strangely enough they are doubling down on their attacks on Ted Cruz since Trump opened his big mouth again yesterday ( Thursday , to debate the substance of what Trump said is a whole another debate and discussion, the fact is ? he opened his big mouth again ).
The Trump supporters methodology :
Polls showing Trump leading * ALL GOODY POLLIES * including Politico, Salon , any source, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, Democratic Underground, or grasping at straws will do.
Polls that have Trump losing or behind ? BAD POLLS, BAD, BAD, BAD POLLS.
There now, easy enough to understand the TRUMP supporters methodology in determining the polls accuracy.
Because Trump is not leading.
Via CNN Rubio, speaking in Hilton Head, South Carolina, Thursday, noted Cruzs support for H 1B visas as the two senators spar over broader immigration policy.
Ted is a supporter of legalizing people that are in this country illegally, Rubio said. In fact, when the Senate bill was proposed he proposed legalizing people that were here illegally, he proposed giving them work permits. Hes also supported a massive expansion of the green cards. Hes supported a massive expansion of the H 1B program, a 500% increase.
Rubio added: If you look at it, I dont think our positions are dramatically different.
Cruz is VERY solid on actually ''''requiring laws to be enforced'''' - and that includes '''ALL current immigration laws''''...... That would include enforcing the requirements for H-1b visas to ONLY be allowed where there aren't qualified American citizens available to fill needed positions - and that those hires must be paid the going wage for that position....Cruz said that if an employer abuses the H1b visa program they will be '''prohibited from using it forever''''. PLUS, Cruz would require that companies pay MORE for each H-1b they hire, with the purpose that money go in block grants to states to pay '''for training American citizens'''' in the very fields that have shortages. ....Thus the hires would actually help end the need for the H-1b program while creating excellent careers for citizens

Both Cruz and Trump should take a look at Mexico’s Immigration policy. In fact all Freepers should take a look at it and see how tough they are. If we copied their plan the amnesty crowd would howl. Here’s a link to a summary of it.

A few points from the article...

There are a lot of bad push-polls out there, but it isn't unrealistic to believe that Cruz would do well in his home state. Everyone does (usually). What I want is for that result to be found in the other 49 states!
