As Carson Stumbles, Trump Slowly Turns the Knife
The Fiscal Times ^ | Nov 8, 15 | Rob Garver

Carsons chief competitor for the Republican presidential nomination at the moment is billionaire former reality television star Donald Trump, who has not been shy about attacking and ridiculing his opponents throughout the campaign.

On Sunday, however, across multiple telephone interviews with talk shows, Trump adopted the tone of a concerned colleague, suggesting that he is genuinely worried about Carson, whom, he said, he has come to consider a friend.

Anything that damages the GOP establishment is OK with me. Only revolution will wrest the country from the stranglehold that the big GOP and Dem’s have in it. I’d rather be a blocking minority party than in bed with the likes of John Boner and Bitch MacDonald.

I have to ask myself "why?" at this point. What motivation does a billionaire have to play spoiler?

I could play spoiler for a reasonably cheap price. ;)

Carson is a net negative for the race. Frankly, he just makes the Right look bad.

Look folks, we all know now that the Politico story was a hit piece. But guess what? This doesn’t automatically grant added credibility to Ben Carson or to anything else he said. All it means is that one particular claim that Politico made about him was false - nothing more. There are still all kinds of other questions about his credibility and honesty, coming from all kinds of other sources, that are still out there.

He’s a terribly flawed candidate in a way that simply is not recoverable. Not only does he have honesty issues, but he’s also bad, bad, bad on a lot of the issues. He’s queasy on guns. He’s queasy on dealing with illegal immigration. He doesn’t have enough sense to understand what’s wrong with granting Puerto Rico statehood. He’s all in for Obama’s sovereignty-destroying TPP deal. It isn’t just his weirdness about the pyramids - he’s objectively wrong on a lot of important issues.

No thanks. No sale.

IMHO there are only two candidates that will not stay with the status quo of the GOPe. They are Trump and Cruz. Carson is self destructing with his support of TPP and Puerto Rico statehood. For me it is either Trump or Cruz or better yet a Trump/Cruz ticket.

That’s what turns my stomach about Carson.

Obama 2.0

"As Carson Stumbles, Trump Slowly Turns the Knife"

I suspect there are many who find that imagery offensive.

Hopefully, they're wearing belt buckles.

Try to stick with factual reality...

Trump:
- Ultra-successful business man
- FORMER reality star

I thought that, too. Just something very odd about him.

I've been following it for a few weeks now. I found the link in a comment at Conservative Treehouse.

I think this is one of the things that are not being caught in the polls and I believe that getting Trump the nomination will be the hard part. The general will be a cake-walk.

I never understood that. Exactly what did he stand to gain that he didn’t already have? I sense that he is as pissed as the rest of us watching our once great country slip through our fingers and the political class just sitting back and watching it happen.

Personally, I would like to see Carson....out. He’s weird.

My gut told me early on that he was a red herring and a secret Dem.

I don’t think he’s a secret Dem but I do think he’s weird and I do want him out.

He’s getting the same voters Huckabee got in ‘08. I respect those voters — good Christians and good conservatives, as a group — but I don’t think they are good at picking candidates.

Anyway, I support Trump and think he will be strong against Hillary.

I don’t support Carson, who I think will be weak against Hillary. In fact, I think Hillary would crush Carson like a bug.

(There are other issues, of course, but I don’t feel like getting into them here. Just the issue of who makes a better candidate against Hillary is the one I want to mention here.)

Very curious as to how you could find a connection between the Trumpster and Biblical foundations. I will likely vote for the man, but puzzled as to such a finding?

Agreed. But I think Cruz will get some of Carson’s support too.

Carson is a whack job and needs to get out of the race NOW. A lot of others need to get out too. Too many nonviable candidates and too many stuck on stupid voters. Same stuff, different election. If the dissension gets much worst, say hello President Kankles.
