I have a weird proposition for you today. Consider this Halloween-related.
If you had to choose between Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Ted Cruz as the next president, which one would you pick and why?
If you're a very conservative Republican, this may not be such a daunting prospect. If you're a moderate of either party or someone on the farther left, you're more likely to be appalled.
But in the wake of a debate in which Cruz emerged as an increasingly popular candidate in the crowded GOP field, and in which Trump and Carson remain the front-runners, I think it's a reasonable question. None of the Above is not an option in this case.....

Ted Cruz..he holds the constitution sacred.
His mother was an American and the father renounced his Canadian citizenship. According to the law as I understand it, he still qualifies as an American.
You like Trump? Good for you. I like Cruz.

Cruz no.1 because he has earned the spot. He has become a solid fighter, boldly going where few, if any others would. He has the scars to prove it. Not perfect...NOBODY is!
Trump no.2 because even though I don’t trust him to hold to traditional values, I think he could do a lot to turn the country’s economics around.
Carson no.3 because he is a good man, but I don’t seem him ready for prime time yet. Hillary would make mincemeat of him in a debate. He doesn’t have the fire in the belly yet. Cruz and Trump do.
Yeah, I’m not going the lesser evil route again. I caved in 2012 and voted for a man who’s been pro-abortion all of his life, and who said that two people of the same sex who “love each other” should be able to adopt children.
From here on, only conservatives will get my support. We can delude ourselves that moderates are “better”, but that route leads to disaster.

About as much consideration as you give to our Constitution and the Rule of Law.
I was jesting. I have no problem with Cruz’s birth place. My problem with him is, he never utters the words “deport ALL illegals”. And he wants massive increases in import of cheap foreign workers. How is that helpful to American wages and jobs? If he ever changes positions on those 2 issues, he would be just fine.
The Constitution requires the President be more than just an "American". One must be a Natural Born Citizen to become president.
Funny you mention it. Cruz began studying the Constitution at age 14. By the time he graduated high school, he had traveled all over the state of Texas with a student group and had given 80 speeches on our founding documents.
He has argued in the Supreme Court to defend the Constitution.
There's "consideration" for you.
His running for the office in itself is a corruption of our Constitution and a validation of the Usurper Obama.
