A post-debate poll from Citizens United provided exclusively to Breitbart News finds that GOP frontrunner Donald Trump remains the clear favorite in the field, with almost 31 percent of the vote.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) gets 18.5 percent, Dr. Ben Carson earns 17.4 percent, and former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina takes 11.3 percent. Combined, thats 78 percent for the four consummate political outsiders in the race. Washington establishment candidates, including Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, trail badly.
Seventy eight percent of our respondents have with their vote voiced their frustration with the Washington establishment, and have cast their ballot with outsiders, Citizens United president Dave Bossie told Breitbart News. For the other dozen candidates to split up the other 20 plus percent is very stunning. Then if you look at the first and second choice, you have Donald Trump and Ted Cruz in a virtual tie.(continued)

>> “If you bear in mind its a poll of conservatives, it is of use.” <<
.
Its a statistically correct poll, not a “poll of conservatives.”
.
“But the GOPe candidates combined have a total of 22%”
I didn’t know this, and to me far more important to know right now.
Citizens United is getting ready to unleash $1 million in negative ads on Trump from what I hear. They can kiss my grits. :-)
“Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) gets 18.5 percent,”
YES
That's what made the Rubio numbers so interesting as he's supposed to draw conservatives.

You and I know that Rubio is no ‘conservative.’
.
And it’s good to know the United Citizens members know it too.
Well, it isn’t, but well, who cares?
.
Negative meaning true.
It’ll all come out in the wash GG.
The stuff is out there, and there is no way it can be silenced forever.
.
I don’t particularly relish saying this, but this seems like an outlier poll.
If I were stacking the polls up against each other, I would have to say this one isn’t in the same ball-park as others. For that reason, I can’t rely on it heavily.
In the next few days, if other polls confirm this, then of course this becomes merely the first poll to reveal the change in status.
I don’t expect that to happen.
We’ve been getting some very strange polling about once per week. One side or another starts slapping each other on the back. Then a few days later, more polls come out that prove what a misguided poll the former one was.
I’d hold off any yea or nay on this one for a few days.
.
Got your tail feathers hot, eh?
Reality is a bitch, unless you like truth, then she’s a doll.
.
I think you have them confused with Club For Growth.
Remember , thery do not care if their candidate can win the general elction. It is all about proving a point. Yee hah!
I do like that aspect of it. I just hope this poll is a new trend rather than a fluke.
.
Its not a change in status, its a first revelation of the real status.
.
You know what? Maybe I do. But I don’t see them backing Trump either.
Good point. A poll of FReepers would show Cruz in the lead, yet would be totally worthless as far as giving a clue as to how the primary will go.
Ping-a-ling to the Cruz ping list! Could you imagine where he’ll be when he gets more time at the debates?
