Given the "failures" of the Obama election, Republicans can only lose in 2016 if "they out-extreme the far-left"
On The OReilly Factor Thursday night, host and new favorite Coulter punching bag Bill OReilly expounded on the difference between Trumpians and Democrats, and warned Republicans that the real estate moguls brand of undisciplined extremism could hurt the party whose nomination he currently seeks.
After rattling off the predictable litany of Republican complaints about Obamas economic and foreign policies the suggestion being that Democratic party is weak on both fronts because of the presidents reckless, ignorant actions OReilly claimed that it should be easy for the Republicans to win the presidency in 2016, but thats not how its shaking out.
Donald Trump, he said, has bludgeoned the GOP establishment by seizing on a number of emotional issues that conservatives are furious about. His brand of straight talk blows traditional politicians away, making them seem small and dull. While that might sound like the sort of thing OReilly would gladly cheerlead, he argued that it may be good news for the Democrats.
The reason? Because theres an over-the-top element to Trumps rhetoric and support. OReilly singled out Trumps claim that that the 14th Amendment doesnt apply to the children of illegal immigrants as being particularly without merit a position which put him at odds with guests and panelists on all of Fox News other editorial programs.
The amendment clearly states, OReilly said, that [a]ll persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States. Anyone who tries to parse the amendment will fail, and its a waste of time.
It also, he added, gives the left ammunition, noting that an editorial in the New York Times demonizes the Republican party for Trumps immigration plan. That, OReilly said, will allow the Democrats to turn defeat into victory by portraying Trump and the entire Republican party as racist brutalizers.
The GOP, he concluded, will lose the very winnable 2016 election if they out-extreme their far-left competition.

I’ve been saying for years that the gopE must be destroyed. The old “fix it from within” hasn’t worked and won’t work. Lots of conservatives were voted in in 2010 and the majority handed over to the republicans. Not one damn thing has changed except the gopE leadership has shown it’s true colors.
I don’t believe one supporter will ever go back to the democrat/republicans. If Trump doesn’t get the nomination and doesn’t run third party I believe most of his supporters will write in a name or stay home. Trump has destroyed the republican party. Thank God!

American Indians/tribes were designated as “sovereign nations” for treaty purposes, and when a lot of this started in the 1850’s, they liked that status.
Over time, this relationship re US citizen changed, but even today Indians have “tribal/reservation sovereignty” with the US. That is why they have Tribal Councils and Tribal Police who are independence of the U.S. political systems.
One of my friends is a Muscogee Chief but as good an American citizen as there is.
Remember, Ira Hayes, one of the flag raisers of Iwo Jima was an American Indian. We also had the famous athlete Jim Thorpe who represented the USA at the Olympics (as well as bringing pride to his tribe), and we lost, in action, an American female Indian soldier in Iraq.
She wore the uniform of the US Army but was also buried with her tribal trappings, symbols of pride and devotion to her country and her people.
She was no “anchor baby”. She was a red-blooded American soldier.
No wonder Glenn Beck is friends with O’Reilly.

I haven’t watched FOX since that “debate” and don’t plan on turning it back on.
If the GOP doesn’t “get” just how furious its base is in the aftermath of Trump, they will die as a viable party. It won’t be the tea party right that murders them. No. It’s self-inflicted.
I don’t trust Trump as far as I can throw him.
And that’s a damn lot further than I trust the GOPe.
By an order of magnitude.
So. It’s a complete waste of time for the bass poops in the GOPe to lecture me about how Trump’s not to be trusted...
The donors are uneasy and feeling powerless. The donors have issued fatwas. The donors told Fox News, "Take Trump out." The donors told some of the other candidates, "Get Trump out of there. We're giving you money, isn't gonna matter a hill of beans, you've gotta get rid of Trump." They've tried. They haven't been able to. Trump's even stepped in it two or three times on his own, at least according to popular conventional wisdom. It turns out every time Trump steps in it his popularity grows.
