Vivianna Rodriguez cannot wait for Donald Trump's speech Friday night in Mobile, Alabama.
"I was shocked when I heard that he was coming to Mobile. But I was very excited [as well]. Not because he was speaking, but because we're going to do something about it," she said.
Vivianna is a 24 year-old senior at the University of South Alabama whose football stadium will host Trump on Friday and she is an American-born daughter of a single-parent undocumented Mexican immigrant.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has referred to those with her background as "anchor babies."
It's those types of comments that have outraged Vivianna and parts of her college community and energized them to take action.
"Now he wants to take birth citizenship away from me, calling me an anchor baby?" she said. "To go to that extent just so that I won't have my citizenship here when I was born here? This is the only country that I know, and then to call me not an American?"
The young Mexican-American activist told NBC News that she is now "hyped," to organize other students from the University of South Alabama. She threw a party Thursday night to make signs and commit to "making a presence" at the school's Ladd-Peebles Stadium Friday.
"You're not just going to walk into Mobile and think we're not going to have anything to do about it."(continued)

“and she is an American-born daughter of a single-parent undocumented Mexican immigrant. “
Code for welfare queen subsidized by US taxpayers.
Good. Protest. Go for it.
Why is NBC News giving this Latina whore any recognition whatsoever?
Oh, wait...
True dat.
Anchor baby
“Vivianna is a 24 year-old senior...”
Maybe Vivianna should pay more attention to her studies rather than rabble-rousing.
According to Mexican law, someone born outside mexico to a mexican citizen is a mexican national.
Unfortunately, she has nothing to fear. I don’t think her citizenship can be taken away from her retroactively.
Did I hear anything about taking away citizenship retroactively? I think they will set a date on the calendar and say after that day, birthright citizenship will no longer be conferred to children born by mothers without U.S. citizenship.
Vivianna Rodriguez has nothing to worry about and is only spewing a lot of hot gas from a bad bowl of frijoles refritos.
15 minutes of fame is wasted on the young.
>>>”Now he wants to take birth citizenship away from me, calling me an anchor baby?”<<<
First of all, she IS an Anchor Baby.
Trump isn’t taking anything from this Moron. Changing the Law doesn’t make it retroactive. College Student, LOL.
Who is paying for her tuition?
Let them protest. They only enhance Trump’s support among the American people. I will say it will be a little strange to see a stadium in the deep south filled to capacity to listen and cheer on for a northeasterner at a political rally.
Not any dumber than most college students these days.
I’m guessing she’s not studying particle physics.
President George H.W. Bush was a Northeasterner.
You and I are. Bet on it.
Tuition being paid for by?
No, sweetheart, I doubt very seriously that he wants to take YOUR citizenship away from YOU. He wants to stop the ‘walk across the border’ crowd is all. You will benefit as well.
Mexicans are highly nationalistic. They almost never want to become US citizens. Maybe 20% so no matter what the govt does they will come out of the shadows and learn English and become citizens. Not going to happen.
