Presidential candidate Donald Trump said Sunday that he pays as little in taxes as possible just like every other taxpayer in America.
I fight like hell to pay as little as possible for two reasons. Number one, Im a businessman. And thats the way youre supposed to do it, Trump said in an interview with CBS Face the Nation. The other reason is that I hate the way our government spends our taxes. I hate the way they waste our money. Trillions and trillions of dollars of waste and abuse. And I hate it.
Trump has not yet released his tax returns, but said he has no major problem with doing it. And he said he may tie a release of his tax returns to a release of Democratic candidate Hillary Clintons emails from her time as secretary of state.
The State Department is in the process of reviewing and releasing more than 55,000 pages of emails Clinton sent and received while in the Obama administration...

Ouch!!
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why Trump is leading the pack. He's an alpha male who is used to being in charge.
I fight like hell to pay as little as possible.....God bless him.
(And I notice nobody writing similar stories about high profile Democrats.)
Good for him. I pay as little as I possibly can as well. If he did not, I would consider him stupid.
Boom, outta the park - again.
This guy’s batting a thousand.
Don’t we all. Even Warren Buffet. To pay more than what Uncle Sammie takes is idiotic.
A businessman that minimizes his tax hit. Well yes.
As does Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Barbara Boxer, Harry Reid, George Soros, etc.
No sane person would disagree with that statement.
In Massachusetts we’ve had for many years an option on our tax return to pay at a higher rate, because liberals were sooo frightened (for the children, naturally) when the voters approved an income tax cut back in 2000.
I think the amount of people who volunteer to pay at a higher rate is well below 1%.
There’s a method to send “excess” money to the US Treasury:
Gifts to the United States
U.S. Department of the Treasury
Credit Accounting Branch
3700 East-West Highway, Room 622D
Hyattsville, MD 20782
I’m always surprised Democrats and Progressives seem to forget about it...
LoL. Trump still kicking butt.
John Kerry is exactly the same way... but Donald Trump is being honest about it.
So do I. The less tax I pay the better. The less that gets wasted in DC.
Good for him.
“paying as little tax as possible”. Is this supposed to be an outrageous scandal? ROTFL
SHOCKINGLY, Squaw Warren was one of those who failed to send in the extra dough....
Not only does The Donald figure his taxes to greatest benefit for himself (and I do not begrudge him one bit for this), he has learned how to live rent-free in the heads of every “progressive” in that territory once known as “the United States of America”.
The more these “progressives” obsess over The Donald, the less time and effort they can put into trying to redeem the image of Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless.
They dare not take on The Donald in a toe to toe match, they will whiffle that confrontation, as has just about everybody else that gets on the wrong end of negotiations with The Donald.
I’ve never known one person, esp. a liberal to do give any excess back.
Years ago back in public TV land, the local hi-tek redneck liberal got upset about taxes on people being low or not paying fair share claptrap. He didn’t care for me since I wasn’t a liberal, as intelligent, big in demand freelance person, etc. He ranted to me once. I believe I said, you first. He didn’t say much after that.
The other reason is that I hate the way our government spends our taxes. I hate the way they waste our money. Trillions and trillions of dollars of waste and abuse. And I hate it.
And where do those taxes go? To pay off the interest on our national debt.
Pres. Ronald Reagan found this out with the Grace Commission.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Grace_Commission
The report said that one-third of all income taxes are consumed by waste and inefficiency in the federal government, and another one-third escapes collection owing to the underground economy. With two thirds of everyones personal income taxes wasted or not collected, 100 percent of what is collected is absorbed solely by interest on the federal debt and by federal government contributions to transfer payments. In other words, all individual income tax revenues are gone before one nickel is spent on the services [that] taxpayers expect from their government.”[4]
So where does the money come from that we spend on the federal budget each year?
It’s borrowed from the Federal Reserve!
