As real-estate mogul Donald Trump rocketed up the polls in the GOP presidential primary, many observers have been left scratching their heads. After all, his baffled critics argue, Trump is merely a celebrity candidate with a gigantic amount of name recognition being further lifted by the media maelstrom that follows his every tweet, statement, and speech.
Rival candidate Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) this week attributed Trump's rise to a brief "loss of sanity" in the race.
"I think this is a temporary sort of loss of sanity. But we're going to come back our senses and look for somebody serious to lead the country at some point," Paul said in a Thursday CNN interview.
It does appear, however, that Trump has a real base of support at least for now.
"He's not going away," Steve Duprey, a Republican National Committee member, told Reuters when the wire service published yet another poll showing Trump ahead. "There are people who think his candidacy is a flash in the pan or a flash in the moment, but I think that underestimates his appeal."

Rand Paul, you may be the one who has lost sanity.

Check what NH everyday voters are saying in this video.
Trump - Clinton Supporter. Easy to defeat in main race due to admitting to taking bribes. More than likely just a plant.
Jeb Bush - What the liberal media wants.
Scott Walker - Actual Conservative Republican. Kindly research beyond the Trump smoke screen.
Ted Cruz- Conservative Republican - who Trump is imitates.
Don’t get the numbers other than Trumps wallet is a big thing and he’ll pay off anyone for what he wants. Jeb Bush is a shoe in with the media because he’s easily liberal.
Let’s hope Thursday tears apart this Trump Tower and breaks down the Jeb Bush build up.
If either Jeb or Walker drop out, would the votes all go to the remaining in race candidate? That would add up to 24.5%. If other GOPe RINO’s drop out such as Rubio, Christie & Ksich, conservatives will need to unite behind 1 of either Trump, Cruz or Paul to counter the unified GOPe front.
Have you kept up with the news?
If you have, care to post what Trump has said about Hillary?
Not a Trump fan here, however I along with a bunch of other folks here on FR know why Trump's rocketing up in the polls, and it's really simple:
1. He's not Washington Establishment;
2. He speaks his mind. Not hard to figure out where he's coming from.
3. He give a very LOUD voice to the issues that are pissing most American's off;
4. After hearing the last 6.5 years that our "best days are behind us" and having a President who tears America down at every turn, Trump's "Make America Great Again" resonates down to people's core that America can, and will, be great again.
5. Face it, he handles the media well and with an appropriate level of disdain that's reflective of average, every day American's who don't trust the media.
Then there's the "he can't be bought" ... "he knows how the economy works" and a plethora of other reasons.
Yes, he shakes up the GOP-E and I happen to really like that. He's going to be fun to watch however long his run lasts.
I just watched that group interview with NH voters. It was something. They really get it, what’s wrong with government and what Trump has to offer. If they’re typical, Trump’s our next president.
Clinton supporter LoL. Get real. Trump keeps calling her a criminal which Hillary is a criminal. When are the other munchkins to call Hillary a criminal? Crickets LoL.
And Cheese, Guess who Trump wants to tap as his Attorney General? Do you know?
“BREAKING: Donald Trump Just Announced His Pick for Attorney General Hillarys Worst Nightmare!”
“As Trump tweeted, @HillaryClintons toast. Dems had better get theB Team off the bench. @TGowdySC for Attorney General under President Trump. “
Well, at least Linda is at the bottom.
Oh, no! My “man”, Lindsey Graham is only polling at one-half of one percent!
What to do, what to do?
That about sums it up, usconservative.
Patience, Mr. Steel, patience.
AmericanCheeseFood just got handed his assignment this morning, in a few days he’ll be up to speed and earning his keep.
Until then, patience.
Trump’s Tax Plan:
In his book “Time to get tough” published in 2011,
his tax talk in the book is more supply-side.
For instance, he proposed four income-tax brackets: 1 percent for incomes up to $30,000, 5 percent for incomes of $30,000 to $100,000, 10 percent for incomes of $100,000 to $1 million, and 15 percent for incomes of $1 million or more. A bit messy, but right direction. He also wanted to kill the death tax, lower the taxes on capital gains and dividends, and eliminate corporate taxes.
From Drudge, Democrats add Donald Trump to list of serious Republican candidates
I will not vote for any current Republican candidate that labels Trump, or his supporters crazy, temporarily insane, or whatever.
Didn’t like Rand Paul anyway.
Only thing I liked about Rand Paul is he seems serious about reducing size of government. But I have serious problem with his agenda on foreign policy and illegals. I am against making marijuana a legal substance, except for medicinal purposes.
Trump towers!
Nice touch by Trump directly Tweeting Hillary is toast if he's the President. LoL.
