How eager are you to vote? Would you ever strip down to your birthday suit, then crawl over hot coals to cast your vote?
Well, Florida Rep. Alan Grayson says Democrats are so eager to vote for him, that’s what they’d do to help him win the U.S. Senate race he joined on Thursday.
Grayson insists he’d win because people love him so much — even though he hasn’t received any support from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. The committee’s preferred choice is Florida Rep. Patrick Murphy.
“Frankly, one reason why Democrats are willing to crawl over hot coals naked to vote for me is because I’m willing to tell the truth,” he told NBC News.
Grayson said he has the highest name recognition in the field, but that’s more likely due to him being a headline writer’s dream.
For example, there’s the one time he called a reporter a “sh*ting robot.”
Once when asked about his estranged wife outside of court during a divorce proceeding, his response was short and sweet.
“Gold diggers gotta dig,” Grayson said.
In 2009 on the House floor, he said the GOP’s health care plan is simple: “Don’t get sick, but if you do, die quickly.”
So really, if people don’t know Grayson’s name by now, he’s doing this thing all wrong.
