Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) and Karl Rove are at odds -- over a description of what happened when former president George H.W. Bush donated to Cruz's campaign for attorney general of Texas in 2009.
Rove is lashing out against assertions Cruz makes in his book, "A Time for Truth." Cruz writes that he went to see Bush in Maine and the meeting went well -- so well that Bush let Cruz borrow clothes and a belt buckle that said "President of the United States," and handed him a campaign donation check for $1,000. Cruz was invited to Maine by the son of one of his current rivals for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, Jeb Bush.
Cruz writes that Rove said the elder Bush "was too old to have good judgment anymore" and demanded that Cruz return the check. Cruz wrote that Rove implied that if he made George H.W. Bush's donation public, George W. Bush would "endorse my opponent and come out publicly for him."(continued)

Cruz has been a non factor in the GOP from the get go. He refused to attend meetings. He created his own mess. Do you want a General who has no staff briefings/meetings?
He is a pain in the ass to many.
Rove claims he talked Cruz into politics. Is that BS? I do not know. Is Rove a friend of Bush SR like he claims?
Oh, rats, only verbally sparring. I was popping corn in organic coconut oil with seas salt, to watch Cruz pop that egg balloon head.
How come both Republican Hispanic Senators miss more votes then the others? Cruz misses 10% of votes and Rubio about 9% according to the Huffington rag. Is this true?
I have no idea.
What does that have to do with my Post?
Nothing. I just thought maybe you knew? Sorry.
Between the campaign and the SuperPACs I estimate that Ted already has over $100 million, more than anyone else, even John Ellis Bush, so why kowtow to Rove? And Cruz didn’t do anything **now** it was a chapter of his book that set Rove off.
Perhaps he chose not to be a GOPe?
