HOUSTON, Texas Continuing to build a robust national and Michigan organization, Cruz for President today named Wendy Day, the current Vice Chair of the Michigan Republican Party and Liberty movement leader, as the Michigan State Director for the Cruz for President Campaign.
Wendy is a great fit because she is no stranger to grassroots politics at every level, said Ted Cruz. Her influence in the Great Lake State and commitment to freedom make her a valued member of our team.
Wendy is one of the most respected, hardworking grassroots leaders Michigan has seen, said Cruz State Chairman Saul Anuzis. No one will out work her, no one knows both the Republican Party and Tea Party movement better than Wendy.
Wendy Day gained influence and notoriety in Michigan when she founded Common Sense in Government, a group that highlighted elected officials misdeeds and educated voters on how to hold those officials accountable. Currently she serves as the Michigan Republican Party Grassroots Outreach Vice-Chair.
Ted Cruz articulates a consistent message of optimism that has fired up people from the U.P. to Detroit, said Day. Its clear that his courage, intelligence, wit, and love of country will unite voters from across the spectrum who rightfully demand that Americas future be built on Freedom. Michiganders are telling me that this is the first time theyve seen someone who reminds them of Ronald Reagan.
Day is responsible for organizing the 2010 snowman protest, where her volunteers built over 60 snowmen in front of the Michigan Capitol to protest taxes. The result was a humorous and eye-catching display that attracted news media from all around the world.
Wendy Day is a military wife and mother. She has been married to Kevin Day for 19 years and they have four children, including David, 18, Craig, 17, Allison 11, and Brady, 7.
The Michigan Presidential primary is slated for March 8, 2016. In the general election, Michigan holds 16 electoral college votes.
I agree with you 100% on the secrecy. I cannot defend that. I am not defending that.
But I cannot defend agreeing with Warren and the most radical members of our elected government either.
My only point here is this: there is a steaming pile of sh-t on BOTH sides of this issue - and there is very little we know about it. I was posting in response to those who would say Trump is more conservative than Cruz and this trade deal proves it. That’s absrud. And that is really my ONLY point here.
And it’s fine for you to question the integrity of anyone who supports it, but I don’t think in your ignorance, and MY ignorance of this law, that it’s prudent to make it a belleweather issue. It ain’t that.
And it also might be a good idea to hear why Cruz supported it. He was not evasive, he was eloquent - and you and he simply disagree on how job friendly it is. He even made fun of the notion that the liberals are on both sides of this issue.
For the single guy that is leading above all others on Obama CAre, which is about a million times bigger deal than this trade issue, I would think you should/could/would respect that - even in disagreement.
All I know is that there is no one better than Cruz in the race. No one is going to be perfect but I believe Cruz is the one who can take us in the right direction.
I’m not terribly fond of governors. They don’t vote so they avoid that record and then they claim credit for things legislators do. Jenny Granholm signed Michigan’s concealed carry law but that doesn’t make her pro gun.
I don’t care for blowhards like Trump because they’re dishonest and manipulative at their core.
Libertarians will fling themselves off a cliff and be proud doing so as long as they’re wrapped in a flag when they do it. They’re utterly lacking in sensible moderation.
every single word you wrote...is 100% SPOT ON!!
And she makes great commercials!
Oh wait...wrong Wendy... :o)
Yes, I know that's not the real Wendy Thomas
Dang! That sammich looks good!
Amen, God send me one like that, a good old true blue conservative Godly woman whom I can trust.
Sounds like you are looking for the Right kind of lady. :)
LOL you have noticed that too ?
The way society is nowadays, rude people in the stores and driving , dont get me started on how people drive down here in Baltimore.
I 2nd that...
Need to start asking these people who there candidate is and why they are so great.
Both still hot.
I put it this way, I surely do know what I don’t want, I do not want some snot nosed, air head, feminist liberal beyatch, vegan, ungodly woman.
If God can make it ( soon ) that God will bless me with a woman like Wendy Day, or Michelle Malkin, I would be happyer that Gabberal or Michel the arch angels.
God ? I am getting long on the tooth and short on the years , please don’t make me wait as long as Abraham. Please, pretty please ?
Nobody can argue with that! Who would even want to have a conversation with such a person?! Hope the right one comes along. Could be you’ll really luck out and she’ll be a Christian Cruzer!
Amen ! A Cutie Christian Cruzer with brains and a quick wit to go with it.
I like’em in a small package, not long and lankey.
Short and petite that has not been corrupt by this current ungodly culture or feminism.
Too bad my best friend recently remarried. She would have fit the bill. She was widowed a couple of years ago. She’s also gorgeous! She married an old friend from high school who was also widowed.
If you have a local Cruz campaign organization, check it out. You’ll be doing good work and might just find your Cutie!
Its is interesting that the Michigan GOP is OK with Wendy day joining team Cruz. She’s the Michigan GOP vice chair and that’s pretty high up in the party policy making wing.
