Presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz made a campaign stop in Beaumont, TX on Tuesday, May 19. He was asked repeatedly by Kevin Steele from KMBT-TV about the issue of gay marriage, to which Cruz responds by turning the tables. (via Joe Walsh)
SEN. TED CRUZ: Let me ask a question: Is there something about the left, and I am going to put the media in this category, that is obsessed with sex? Why is it the only question you want to ask concerns homosexuals? Okay, you can ask those questions over and over and over again. I recognize that you're reading questions from MSNBC...
You're wincing. You don't want to talk about foreign policy. I recognize you want to ask another question about gay rights. Well, you know. ISIS is executing homosexuals. You want to talk about gay rights? This week was a very bad week for gay rights because the expansion of ISIS, the expansion of radical, theocratic, Islamic zealots that crucify Christians, that behead children and that murder homosexuals. That ought to be concerning you far more than asking six questions all on the same topic.
REPORTER: Do you have a personal animosity against gay Americans?
CRUZ: Do you have a personal animosity against Christians sir?[continued]

It would be really great to see the whole conservative political movement turn the tables on the left
and shut down any criticism with an accusation of “Christophobe”.
Good for Ted Cruz. Take no prisoners. :-)
Isn’t he amazing?
One - he doesn’t fall for their straw-man argument, but points out defty how their questions are of a narrow scope and leave out what should be truly important.
Two - he directs a telling question back to the reporter.
When was the last time we saw a politician with the courage and ability to do this?
Excellent! This guy knows how to handle these idiot reporters.
Brilliant response!
They huff and puff saying “ I ask the questions “ as if ? They are some authority .
Folks have you noticed the MSM’s attitude that they some how assumed authority ?
We need to challenge their sudo authority.
When they say “ I ask the questions “ we say back “ who are you ? Who gave you your authority ? “
He exposes the facade of “gay rights” for what it is.
If the left were truly concerned about “gay rights” they’d be really concerned about the expansion of Islam.
Instead, they only focus on Christians,
which exposes their true agenda.
“One wonders why other Conservatives have not taken the same tact in the past.”
They don’t have the ability for one. Arguing in front of the Supremes, plus getting debating championships surely helps ;)
But they also don’t have the courage to take on the MSM. Like the rest of the Republicans, they think they have to cower and that will get them respect.
They’re trying to keep in the media’s good graces.
Ted goes in with the reality of “they’ll never like us/me” and tears them a new one.
What’s that from?
Love it! I’ll be joining you.
Cruz should have hit home by asking the reporter if *he* is or was a Christian, and insisted on an answer to the question does he have personal animosity to Christians.
“Jim Robinson ? This very alone should convince anyone a.d you that Ted Cruz is the canadate that we have sought after since Ronald Reagan .”
I would like to see all the truly conservative outlets endorse him NOW. Waiting to see who the candidate is and then weakly giving them a thumbs up hasn’t worked in the past.
If the radio hosts - Rush, Savage, Levin, Ingraham, (I leave out Hannity because he would never take a stand) and forums like this would come out and support him NOW, we might be able to avoid the MSM picking our candidate.
Which fighter pilot, John McCain or either of the George Bushes?
“Like the rest of the Republicans, they think they have to cower and that will get them respect.”
As Dr. Phil says, “how’s that been working so far?”
Ted laid it out ... you guys are interested only in sex .... good one.
“Another problem in my view is that I dont think he will be harsh enough to them. “
He’s already being more harsh than any other candidate I can remember. Maybe not vicious, there’s no need for that, but he is honest and straightforward and shows he will not take their crap.
Kinda like Reagan did with the Soviets. You just have to make them think you will do more - bullies always back down when they sense someone more powerful than themselves is facing them.
Oooh. That left a mark.
Cruz or lose.
“Ted goes in with the reality of theyll never like us/me and tears them a new one.”
Yes, and I hope he is setting an example that others will follow..............well I can hope can’t I? :)
I have my own list why he won't make it :o):
He's too conservative, too pretty, too smart, too legal, too constitutional, too wise about the American economy, too loathe about the present state of government, too supportive of the military, too Christian, too not islamic, too clever with his wording, too honest, too sure of himself, too organized, too brilliant gathering donations from the grass roots and people of all ethnicities, too loving of America and its true history, too much like Reagan, too much a legal natural born American citizen - he's just too too to ever become President.
He's also our only choice to save this country. We must elect this too wonderful Cruz.
