Every day, in oh so many ways, Carson proves that he is not ready for prime time and has no business being looked on as a serious presidential candidate. Running for office on the promise to raise taxes for half the people in the country is not the way to win.
Fedgov dosent need a fraction of what it takes in now.
One thing about all these guys that have no chance of being elected... they do change the dialogue, whether the left likes it or not.
That said, my time and money are going to the Cruz campaign.

If you make $10 a year, I don’t know, I think you died already. A panhandler couldn’t make that little if he tried.
Ben’s a nice guy but the days of people like my mother going shopping in the middle of the night so no one would know she was using food stamps, are over, i think.
(dad was recovering from 2nd heart attack and she was in nursing school in her early 40s)
Everybody should pay something. They are not going to want to, I think
National Sales Tax would be the same concept — you buy a $100,000 car, you pay more tax than the guy buying a $10,000 car — and easy to assess: just add a key on the register. Its added benefit would be that Washington would always have a stake in maintaining a roaring economy — if the economy sucks and nobody’s buying, Washington loses money. And Washington would hate that.
How would this new motto go over?
“No free riders. Everybody pays their share.”
Must be racist or something.
It would be great if everyone had skin in the game.
Thus everyone has skin in the game, and has a reason to keep tax rates down and ensure that public funds are spent wisely.
Plus I believe it to be unconstitutional to discriminate against the rich by making them pay a higher percentage. That is not equal protection under the law.
Poor people should be taxed more to encourage them to earn more money.
Cain said “nine, nine, nine,”
Dr. Ben says “ten, ten, ten.”
To say the poor would pay is beyond unrealistic.
Dr. Ben Carson is a nice highly intelligent man. He gives above average speeches.
Anonymous sales tax only, same rate across the board. Only fair way.
Flat Tax with a Caveat.
Everyone gets a $5,000 Personal Deduction. Single Filer, the first $5,000 of Income is not Taxed. Family of Four, the first $20,000 of Income is not Taxed. That should cover the basic necessities of Life.
In the Interview, Wallace mentioned the EITC. You know, getting a Tax Refund for not Paying Taxes. Apparently, Wallace is a big Fan of that.
The current tax system is toooooooooo complicated. Many have suggested a flat rate tax equal to all, or a sales tax which would be similarly fair.
With a flat tax concept, YES THE POOR WOULD PAY. There is nothing wrong with this. If you start making exceptions and exemptions, then soon we’d be back to where we are.
I do not see this guy ever getting elected though. His biggest problem is obama. obama and those young blacks looting and burning in places like Baltimore have created a serious problem for blacks in general. I’m willing to bet many voters that watch all the violence on TV and know full well obama is the worst president ever will likely not want another black president. If this is true, in essence it would be racist, but it was brought on by the regime.
Tell you the truth, I was willing to give a Carson a listen until I saw this thread just a little down the page:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/gop/3288356/posts?page=1
where Carson proposes hugely increasing ethanol subsidies and mandating 30% ethanol “gasoline.”
That’s Rand Paul-territory Bat-guano-crazy.
That would be the end of the Marxist Party.
Pray America is waking
Everybody needs to be a part time slave to the gov’ts.
Two thirds of taxes should be raised with a 7.5% flat tax and the other one third with a 5% national sales tax. The only deduction would be for charitable donations. The feds would then not be allowed to borrow unless we have a war. Which means they would have to live on a fixed income like I do.
Everyone should pay taxes.
