Can Mike Huckabee win back his Iowa flock?

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (CNN) - If Mike Huckabee hopes to be anointed victor of the Iowa caucuses once again, he better prepare to retread a lot of familiar ground.

"Luck is good. Voters are better," Huckabee quipped as Nathan Johnson wished luck upon the newly official presidential candidate as he stopped by a local coffee shop Wednesday.

Huckabee had Johnson's vote when he won the 2008 Iowa caucuses. This time around, the 33-year-old from Oskaloosa is eyeing a top tier: Huckabee, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. He's biding his time to see how the candidates perform as the race carries on.

"I think a lot of times they make mistakes down the road," Johnson said. "It's a long way to the caucuses."(continued)

Mike Huckabee is a lousy electric bass player.
He is there to message for Jebiadado Bush.
I like what he says, but talk is CHEAP.
If ignorance is bliss, I’m the opposite.

None that I know of, just a similar aura of being good at duping Christians with the right talk while fleecing them with his actions.

Huckabee is already in sixth place, and he's battling Cruz to take over 5th place and get into the top tier of Candidates with double digits.

Meanwhile: Perry, Kasich, Santorum, Graham, Jindal and Fiorina are under 5%. Traditionally they will not get invited to the debates.

Bush Rubio Walker Paul Cruz Huckabee Christie Carson Perry Kasich Santorum Graham Jindal Fiorina Spread
RCP Average 4/16 - 4/30 15.5 14.3 12.3 10.0 8.8 7.5 5.5 5.0 2.5 2.0 2.0 1.7 1.3 1.0 Bush +1.2

Do you trust the RCP polls at this point?

I don't.

The answer is no. And the reason is a person by the name of Ted Cruz.

I’m not saying they are doing it intentionally, but that is the net effect of their candidacies. Neither is going to better than their last outing. Rick, esp. with his B. Jenner comments.

This was an anti-Huckabee article?

The clues:

1) It's from CNN

2) The headline- Flock?: Can Mike Huckabee win back his Iowa flock?

3) 2ndDivisionVet posted it

4) gov_bean_ counter first comment

5) The other articles posted by the same

I'm saying the articles are full of elite-media lies

Anti-Huckabee Freepers are using the false data (because they back a different Republican) to trash Huckabee with those lies.

I think you knew that.

So instead of actually dealing with the EVIDENCE presented in the article, you engage in adhominem attacks, baseless assumptions about the usage of words in the headlines, associations that prove nothing.

Deal with the evidence Donna. Disprove the evidence.

Yes, poll averaging turns out to be pretty effective. They tend to average each other out.

You can weigh the polls, which 538 did.

Of course it's really state-by-state at the start, so what matters in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and maybe Florida. If you are not in the top 3 one of those you have to drop out.

I'm pretty much trusting the polls that all the people under 5% will not be finishing in the top 3 in any of them, so it's only a matter of time till they drop out - or they may not get in.

Carley is a special case, she can stay in and get the VP slot, that's what she is aiming at, IMHO. Maybe Kasich too.

Please see my Post #14 and tell me how many of those points you can refute.

No, you provide proof that he is running on those positions in 2016.

You know, on June 14, 1967, Ronald Reagan signed the Therapeutic Abortion Act, after only six months as California governor. Let's be real about what our problems are today.

Gov Huckabee beat the Clinton machine in their own state and the height of their power. He knows something the Republicans need to know. He might be an excellent VP to get some votes.
