DES MOINES Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz risked the ire of Iowa farmers by staking out free-market positions on two federal policies favored by agribusiness at a summit Saturday.
The two likely Republican presidential candidates opposed an ethanol requirement favored by corn farmers as well as a wind tax credit in a state where more than a quarter of electricity is generated by wind.
They were speaking at the Iowa Ag Summit, which was organized by the states largest Republican donor, Bruce Rastetter, at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines.
Most of the other GOP candidates appearing at the summit were more friendly toward the two policies....

Even JFK, Franklin Roosevelt or Hubert Humphrey were right once in awhile.

Errrr...this is a report by Time magazine, right?
What’s so odd about “divide and conquer”?
Scott Walker is scaring the crap out of the far left and Time is simply trying to push conservative support away from Walker.

Exactly, Walker is probably the best qualified man to run for the Presidency since Reagan.

Exactly, Walker is probably the best qualified man to run for the Presidency since Reagan.
If that is so, why did he take such an uncharacteristically non-conservative position such as supporting renewable fuel standard, or RFS?
Why did he tell Tea-Partiers that they should be fighting the Democrats and not the RINO Republicans in the last election cycle?
Why did he give up on the Gay-Marriage fight in Wisconsin?
These actions of his certainly don't sound like Reagan to me?!

Good post. It may come as news to some that JFK was a collector of firearms. He had a very nice collection of guns of various and sundry kinds.

Here is what Reagan did when faced with the subsidization of a product:
REAGAN VICTORIOUS ON MILK SUBSIDIES
This is directly opposite to the position taken by Scott Walker on the RFS.

Some politicians talk the talk but don’t do the walk. Fine, vote for someone who talks like Rush Limbuagh. I’ll vote for him too.

EXACTLY! EXACTLY! EXACTLY! I am a former voter for Governor Walker, but after observing his unwavering allegiance to the Chamber of Amnesty, I now stand opposed to him as President of the United States. He is no conservative. And he definitely is NOT A SUPPORTER OF TEA PARTY PRINCIPLES!

Look for Bush to take a conservative position from now on, until after the election. He doesn’t mean it. Not a thing.
