News 4 San Antonio's Randy Beamer shows you the all-but-official kickoff of the 2016 Presidential Race at the Iowa "Freedom Summit" over the weekend.
And he wants to know what you think of the Texans fighting for support of the GOP right.
Sen. Ted Cruz and former Rick Perry are in a very crowded field of Republicans. With so many candidates, the race may get heated (and interesting) earlier than ever.
So which of the Texans do you think has the better chance? And who would you put money on to get the most money from donors?
Go to our facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/News4SA to let us know what you think.
We may air some of your comments Tuesday at 10 pm on News 4 San Antonio.
Perry is very articulate.
If Cruz tried to debate him one on one it would be a slaughter.
Fax me some of whatever you’re smoking. Are you saying that Rick Perry would “slaughter” Ted Cruz in a debate, or did I misunderstand you?
Words to Perry in a debate is like him holding the Sword of Damocles in a knife fight, a pen-knife fight.
If Cruz was to try to debate him it would be such a slaughter that Ted would likely bow his head and walk off in shame after a few exchanges.
Perry is 10 steps ahead of others in a debate, just like he reads minds.
Again, get over to your fax machine, pronto! Thanks!
Dude, you almost had me going there for a minute...
LOL
If Cruz runs, it will be the first time in a while I felt strongly about a candidate at the top of a ticket outside of "Way better than the rat".
” Dude, you almost had me going there for a minute...”
Not me. This is why I tune into the Sickoflibs Show !
Thank you for that info. I have removed Mr. Rubio from my tagline. He is a quisling.
Is that ME fishing at FR last night in that pic you posted?
how you get me on cam???
Rick Perry was on Kelly tonight, his choice of words are so hypnotizing that its hard to think of anything else.
LOL
Its been a while since I was as inspired as below, but Trump did it to me in 2011 and the tears ran down my cheeks laughing as I wrote this all and posted it in a few hours, many of the words kept coming to me earlier in the day in my head as I was doing other things.
I got a few live ones commenting on it and played them as far as I could.
The BIG What if ?
What if? What if Europeans stopped Germany from rearming in the early 1930s? What if Truman stopped the Chinese communists takeover in 1948? What if Johnson had invaded North Vietnam in the mid 1960s? What if G H.W. Bush (SR) refused to raise taxes in 1990?
We all have our favorite historical What if? to dream about.
Well what if Trump actually ran for President?
The Dream of a President kick butts Trump (or If only Trump ran.. ) sickoflibs rants | 5/19/2011 |
LMAO!!
I see what you did there...
I liked Perry more before I learned he thinks a border fence would be a waste of our money. Maybe so, but:
(1) little kids would have trouble setting up and climbing 20-foot ladders...
(2) we don’t demand 100% success — just MORE success
(3) any drone and sensor “barrier” we might deploy some day will cost more, especially when the .graft potential is factored in.
A border fence would shift illegals to places without a fence, but that would still be harder than crossing at the current, easier unfenced crossings. A fence covering the entire border would help more, especially a double fence so that a ladder would not be enough to got through, and especially with daily checks for breaches and immediate maintenance that kept it from being worth the effort to tunnel/cut/whatever through.
Even a perfect fence would not be a perfect solution because a significant part of the problem is legal entry followed by simply refusing to leave. Still, perfect is not the goal. The goal is, or ought to be, making illegal entry much harder, followed by making the employment of illegal aliens much riskier. If illegals were fingerprinted, DNA swabbed, deported, and permanently denied legal entry, some would prefer to go home and apply for legal entry. If we enforced employment laws, employers would refuse to commit the crime of hiring illegals, and the illegals would have an incentive to go home. It's not perfect, but it would help reduce the problem to a manageable level.
The border needs armed men more than anything else, its the cheapest and most effective solution. Then we can debate the merits of a fence/wall/minefield later.
