The Bush family has had its share of disappointment and elation in Iowa and New Hampshire. George H.W. Bush finished a dismal third in the 1988 Iowa caucuses, before rebounding in New Hampshire.
George W. Bush, however, won the 2000 caucuses, only to get thumped by John McCain in New Hampshire.
Now, with Jeb Bushs announcement on Tuesday, a third Bush seems to be preparing to face the demanding voters of the first two states in the presidential selection process, with uncertain expectations. But a chorus of top Republicans in Iowa and New Hampshire said that the former Florida governor may be a more formidable contender in the critical early voting states than is widely assumed....

This just proves that Politico is the propaganda arm for both Obama and the Democrats and for the Ruling Class GOP.
It truly is become a single State Party now. A Roman Senate under a Caesar with the media acting as the Praetorians.
Nope! None of the conservatives I know (in Iowa) embrace Jeb, Mitt, or any of the Moderates...

Pappy,
Don’t tell ‘em back home how you found me ...
don’t tell ‘em I voted straight GOP two years ago.
Tell them I’m greasin’ up whores at fishing rodeos.

For a long time, I thought that Bush’s last name alone would be a hindrance to him. But then I suddenly realized that one of the attractions of both Bush and Hillary is their last names, because it makes people think of a time before Obama, when everything seemed so much more positive and prosperous.
Even if they didn’t like GW Bush or Bill Clinton, they associate their last names with better times.
I don’t think it even matters what either one of the current Bush or Clinton is actually proposing, it’s just a nostalgia thing.
It’s Jeb’s turn to play candidate. /s
And the conservative candidates will clear the path for Jeb’s nomination by dividing their voters. Rinse and repeat 2012, 2008...
The GOPe is very clever. They support ONLY ONE RINO each time.
The conservatives duel each other until the bitter end. Too much ego? Too much selfishness?

BINGO! We have a winner! We have a winner!
Actually, the exact opposite is the case.
This year the establishment types took complete control of the Iowa party. They have it in a hammerlock.
