Its enough to make you feel sorry for Hillary Clinton. Well, almost.
Her presidential campaign of celebrity and inevitability got off to a rocky start, mostly through her own mistakes, as when she claimed they were dead broke when she and Bubba left the White House.
But her gaffes were mere speed bumps compared to the real threat forming now.
Massachusetts firebrand Sen. Elizabeth Warren emerges from Washingtons budget clash as the undisputed champion of the rising left, and will almost certainly challenge Clinton for the 2016 nomination.
The polls say its Hillarys turn, but Im starting to believe 2016 could be 2008 all over again, with Warren taking the nomination from her the way Barack Obama did.
As Mark Twain said, History may not repeat itself, but it does rhyme. So it is with the political dynamic, then and now....

Just what we need as POTUS, another inexperienced junior Senator who is good at giving speeches.
If Americans fall for this trick again, we deserve what we get.
That's what I am afraid of.
Of course, maybe the best thing would be a clear choice election in 2016 between a strong Conservative like Ted Cruz and a committed leftist like Fauxahontax Warren.
If Cruz is elected then he will have a clear mandate to salvage what is left of our nation. If Warren is elected then we will all know that our nation is finished and that we should be looking for other options.
Excellent post.
Elizabeth Warren must feel terribly conflicted when Democrats circle the wagons. :(
Run rich Indian, run!!!
C’mon, Warren is the Ron Paul of 2016. A lot of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
I’ve got a new bumpersticker:
RUN ELIZABETH, RUN!
That’s for the front bumper.
Not good.
Obama won twice. Did you think the country had snapped back to 1959?
At this point, I think the Republic is dead and sanity has left the building.
A strange marriage, but these kids are gonna try to make it work!
Bingo. As of 12/14/2014, your prediction is very probable.
If the the Obama machine fully supports Warren, Hillary may not get the nomination. Also, don’t forget Hillary and Edwards split the anti-Obama vote in the caucuses and primaries. I suspect the Obama machine will put up one candidate-most likely Warren and go all out to support her.
I am a member of the Maine State Employees Association-SEIU;
I will let everyone on FR know what I hear from the leadership at the state level about Warren versus Hillary.
If Warren is elected, I will advise my son to begin to buy property in New Zealand if permitted. He is thinking of going to college in Canada at least for two or three years.
How old will Hillary be in 8 years, when she tries, once again, to convince Democrats that she’s one of the?
She’ll be the same age Pelosi is now, I believe.
Be aware the NZers are leftist socialists, worse than in this country, as I understand it. I’m of the opinion that there is no where to escape from the leftist psychopaths.
Those two Ivy League psychopaths joining up would be yet more evidence of God’s judgement of America.
The irrefutable evidence that God is judging America was the re-election of Bath House.
So far, the dems’ top three contenders are the ancient Hillary Clinton, Liz “Lie-A-Watha” Warren and Biden the Slow, on the heels of a horrendously failed Obama administration.
The combined age of the three will exceed 200, and their bench is weak.
Ant Democrat ‘front runner’ has to always worry about someone even stupider coming along and capturing their base.
2008: “No one could be stupider than Hillary... hey, that Obama is really super stupid. Gosh he’s great!”
Just by having a D behind her name automatically gets her 40-45% of the votes in 2016. Its not far from there to 50.001%, and there are plenty of idiot voters who are of the mindset that the time is NOW to elect the first woman president.
And when you lock in 104 evs (CA, NY, IL) without having to spend a penny, it’s a great head start.
