The Hill recently listed what 16 possible presidential contenders in what one strategist described as the "most open field we've ever seen."
Here's the likely contenders in the class of 2016:
First String
Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) - One of the most recognizable names in the field, Paul he's comfortable in front of the camera and has the policy chops to back it up. It helps to be seen as a somewhat of an outsider, too.
Gov. Chris Christie (N.J.) - Christie is still a name to be reckoned with even as his image has taken hits from his own home state.
Former Gov. Jeb Bush (Fla.) - There's no better name recognition than "Bush." He has the family legacy on his side, but faces tough questions from GOP stalwarts on his immigration stands....

I'm sure Ben Carson is a nice man and a super doctor, but president? Huh? Someone explain that to me?

Right or wrong, the vast majority of Americans would shy away from a presidential candidate with no prior elected office experience. Right or wrong.

Go to the article, there are thirteen, not just the men in the headline.

Ted Cruz, or Palin or whoever libs hate the most. Whoever they are most vicious about you know that is the right choice.

We’ve had men elected president without any elective experience. They are called “generals” such as Grant and Eisenhower. I’m still surprised that Blackjack Pershing never ran.

Huckabee
Cruz
Perry
Maybe Carson but I would need to know more. It would thrill me to no end to have a black conservative candidate. But I would need to know his stance on some key issues.

Sure hope Pat Paulson tosses his hat in the ring. He did back in the 80s but never won. Maybe he can this time. With what we have had as presidents since Reagan, I am about ready to vote for my mail carrier. Anyone can screw things up as bad as the bunch we have had since the Gipper. Every stinking one of them have been a Jimmy Carter lite except The One, who actually replaced Carter the Commie as the worse president of the Republic since, since, since, well HE IS THE WORSE!!! EVER!!!
