The Jews are a separate people, distinct from the White Christian Europeans who established the United States and formed the core of its population (until the disastrous 1965 Hart-Celler immigration act); our destinies are not linked......The dual-flag pin is just a cheap visual slogan; In fact a rather disgusting display of dual-loyalty
Pardon?
Last time I looked in the Mirror, which was.... just now in my room. I have white skin, my Father and Mother hail from Germany and the U.K. respectively. So what would make me different?
Oh, is it the fact that I might be JEWISH!? Yes, apparently I need to cash out the time both my Father and I spend in the United States Military because of that >:(
Quick History Lesson. Who Financed The American Revolution?
Haym Salomon, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haym_Salomon
Oh, That is right it has to do with Money! Silly me, isn't that what we are best at? >:(
A disgusting disgusting display of dual loyalty?
Israel is G-d's Country!
You think the price for supporting Israel is high? Imagine how much it would cost if we didn't >:(
Sarah has and inner Hebrew and it speaks for a Love of Israel.
Why is George Washington a Titan Amoung Men? Because when he went to the Hebrew Congregation of Newport, Rhode Island and said this:
To Bigotry No Sanction; to Persecution No Assistance
Maybe you should reread that sometime.
KC Lion -- your post this evening may be among the very best of the lot. It's informative, factual, passionate, Godly and reveals a profound love of your wonderful parents as well as a deep love of America.
Thank you very much for stating with such clarity what really needs to be said.
Hey KC, when you get a moment from doing evil and ruling the world from behind the scenes,, could you loan me a few grand? I figure 60K or so will do it. All Jews have that lying around anyway so you won’t miss it. I need a new mixing desk.
Distinctness as a people is more than skin color, it is about ancestry; not so much who’s your daddy? but who’s your great-great-grandaddy? Jews have had a history of thousands of years as a self-identified group. Jews are concerned with inter marriage (marriage of Jews to non-Jews) this is a concern of many secular Jews as well, so it is not about religious practice. We have the phrase ‘anti-Semitism’ for criticism of Jews; if they were not a distinct people there would be no need for such a phrase, as such criticism rarely relates to Jewish religious practice. Israel has considered a DNA test for those seeking residence under Right of Return. This all sounds like a distinct people, or at least those who consider themselves a distinct people.

The French also helped in the American Revolution but are now dismissed by conservatives as ‘cheese eating surrender monkeys.’ Just because our interests aligned then does not mean they do for all of time. The fact the French helped us once, does not seem to matter to many conservatives now. In the same way that a Jewish business man helped finance the Revolutionary war does not mean we are forever tied to Israel (which did not even exist then) or Jewish interests. This does not mean hostility, just a recognition that we are separate and may at times have diverging interests.
If Israel is God’s country then let Him protect it. I do not see why it becomes America’s job. The belief that if we do not forever stand by Israel and the Jews then God will smite us makes about as much sense as the Islamic belief in 72 virgins for those suiciding themselves ‘for Allah.’ If you are concerned with acts of Islamic violence then a good start would be preventing Islamics moving to our countries rather than us invading theirs.
Not tying ourselves so completely to Israel is no more ‘bigotry’ then not tying ourselves to Britain (who provided our founding stock) or Germany (people of German ancestry are perhaps the largest group in the US even ahead of British, Irish etc.). Recognizing that we are different and separate is no worse than recognizing that our friendly neighbor is not family; we can remain cordial but aware that we will not always have the same hopes, desires, or interests.
It is funny how conservatives get all self-righteous about ‘bigotry’ when the subject is Israel but can be vicious when it comes to Africans, Muslims, or even the aforementioned French. Criticism or Israel (or even Jewish) activities is no worse than criticism of African or Muslim behaviour.
