The Big Red Flood: Take A Look At These Four Maps To See Just How the Country Changed Yesterday
IJR Review ^ | 5 November 2014 | Michael Hausam

The New York Times published these excellent visual representations of yesterday’s election results, including analyses based upon before and after polling. And they are pretty stunning.

Results on the 35 Senate races:

The Democrats won each seat they were expected to win, as did Republicans, including Louisiana, which will have a run-off on December 6th, as both candidates were under 50%. Of the 7 toss-up races, Republicans won 6, their only loss being in New Hampshire. Fifteen states held no Senate election. Net change of +7 for the Republicans.

Results on the House races:

I can see signs that the young college kids are turning thanks to the Young Republican Org. We just elected an 18 yr old college girl to the state House. She is pro-life, pro-2nd amend. and anti-obamacare,.

Kick the chair...you wanna....I wanna...

Wanna bet the shrinks in L.A. and New York are busier than usual today?

Just wait until reality truly sinks in on the left. The sheer scale of pain and hurt is going to be epic. Not that I enjoy seeing anyone suffer, but the left has really got some karma coming to them. They brought this disaster upon themselves.

Be open to the suffering of liberals Windy. Don’t let their tears go to waste and their sacrifice be for naught. Honor them and the memory of the power they lost. After all, you paid for it.

I wish I still had my web skills up to snuff. I’d spend a week on youtube, scanning twitter/facebook and building an interactive art piece on line filled with videos, text and selfies and title it “The Suffering”.

Nothing but the best examples of the wailing and gnashing of teeth. The finest lamentations of de’Wimminz. The “Leave Barry alone you evil right wing scum!” blubbering of the beta males and the fear filled LBGTQRSTUV screaming of the back door brigade.

Because I care.

I do fear for you and your position. And now that I know you feel vulnerable, I will pray no scenario hits you.

SoCA uses us for their water and for stashing their trash. But will they tread across the desert or will they head north to the San Joaquin Valley where the breadbasket is? I worry about the Sonoran desert over-run when the border beckons to BO’s next signal for amnesty.

Jan Brewer caught a break with the border incident, which she has been incredibly mum about, and then appearing on Greta. But I got her number when she first wanted to increase the retail tax “for the children.” I wonder how the moderates she supported fared in the last race. Both she and Napolitano wanted to increase healthcare dependency on the state. That is unforgivable.

And thank-you for telling us your story about Trent. It is interesting that he, like the position of state treasury, was run unopposed. That’s the way to win elections. Beat your opposition before the general election.

The good thing about AZ, except for the GOP candidates for CD 1 and 2, McSally and Tobin, I’ve met so many politicians locally and from the national stage. Except lately, you couldn’t pay me to be in the same room as Cantor and Boehner when they came here during the primaries.

The deep red indicates a Rep. gain in those areas.

Oh, you don't know how uplifted and happy my house has been over the last 24 hours. Even though it's a gloomy, rainy day outside, it feels like the sun on my face and the wind in my hair. I've been like a giddy child all day.

Don't get me wrong. I'm enjoying the hell out of watching the Dems get their comeuppance. Like I said, they've got it coming to them after what they've put us through these last eight years.

Terrific poster. And although, I am opposed to identity politics, it just shows you, these women are proof that we can attract bright people of all characteristics, which is what we aspire: American is American, not a divided, hyphenated, victim-classed, Balkanized basket case that the left needs to prop itself up.

Thank-you. I looked at the gradations and could not be sure how to interpret them. I wish the scales came with an explanation. At one point, my husband suggested they were purple. Your explanation shows movement and trending, which is understandable.

Aren’t those maps fascinating?

Good idea, and you know a lot of folks have got to be working on stuff like that right now. The schadenfreude is just too good to not have fun with.

Yesterday's shellacking was an epic beat-down like we've never witnessed. It's the exact response I predicted during the 2012 election. Obama has pissed off a nation, and now he's hearing us roar. He's practically doomed the Democrat party to irrelevancy for the next decade. If he wants to push amnesty, it'll be the end of liberalism as we know it.

I really like Trent. I have met a couple of these guys at my old reporter job. Including Harry Reid. Still don’t feel clean about that. But trent is real people. At least he was then. I found nothing fake about him. And I looked. I think he’d be a fair prez, but he’s not really an alpha. He’s more the back roon out of the spotlight guy you can count on. Like I say, he’s got the Party thing going on, but he’s a rock on all the right issues.

We often talk out here about a SHTF and the bridges being the only way across. there’s only a couple between Parker and Bullhead so guarding is easy as most of the ferals would drown in the current after a Mohave hike if they even survived it if we open the dam in BHC. And in the summer, no chance of that.

So We’ll be safe for a while. Texas is probably the only place with more guns per capita. Seems like it at least. Wouldn’t want to be in Laughlin or Needles though.

If the GOP blows it, perhaps then it will get us back to the founders intent and away from the current uniparty crap.

Hopefully they do it right and listen to us this time but if not, I don’t see a return to the dems soon either.

You might want to check this book by Mike Garand and Jack Lawson “A Failure of Civility,” about how to set up urban survival coalitions and defense zones, and tactics.

I keep meaning to buy it.

Also let me recommend Charles Heller’s broadcasts on Sunday 1030 am. He has podcasts that are very informative.

http://www.libertywatchradio.com/listen

Keep thinking of how to protect you and yours. God be with you.

For example:

8 24 14 Liberty Watch - Return visit from Dr. William Forschten abut his new book “Day of Wrath,” about the possibility of a Beslan-like attack on 5 U.S. Scools. Great radio, 69..40 min [He wrote The Day After]

10 12 14 Liberty Watch - Dr. Meryl Nass from Maine , an anthrax expert, talks about Ebola transmission. Dr. Mardia Stone continues the fascinating 2nd half of discussion with details from a recent trip to Liberia, where she advises the government there. 52.02, educational.

8 25 13 America Armed & Free
Brandon Web is a former Navy SEAL, and former project manager for all SEAL Sniper training. His website, sofrep.com, has a lot of good info for people wanting to know about special warfare. His latest book (an e-book) is “Benghazi, The Definitive Report.” It is a very detailed analysis and sitrep of 9/11/12. 48.48, very good radio.

Thanks for the links. We have a sizable ex military population here (sizable relatively speaking of course) and a lot of us are the farmboy/mountain hick redneck types so we are a leg up on many, but more info is never a bad thing.

To return the favor, Check out the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. No I am not even kidding. It’s a complimentary book to his World War Z novel and available on Amazon ect. It is written as if the zombie thing were real but simply replace “Zombie” with rampaging feral road warrior rejects” and it is an invaluable source of survival/defense info. Granted, dedicated prepper types probably know all thats in the book but for the more layman type, it is awesome to get your head in the right space for what you need to plan for.

Oh, yes, it sounds great. Thank-you. My kind of reading. You are right it is so important to practice in your mind what could happen and run through possible interventions and solutions.

I wish I could organize my neighbors. As far as I have gone as pass around my prepper novels. I also count my neighbors as farm boy/hicks and am trying to turn my husband and myself into mountain men/women.

‘In time, I just gave it up. I didn’t seem to be changing any of their minds, and it was tiresome’

I don’t try to change their beliefs—they have to do THAT themselves.

I just LUV exposing the lefties hypocrisy...and then watch them twist and turn to justify their opinions.

I’ll live in lefty neighborhood till I die...

WE— conservatives in lefty urban America-—are the front line troops in this war with the left.
