Thanks for the links. We have a sizable ex military population here (sizable relatively speaking of course) and a lot of us are the farmboy/mountain hick redneck types so we are a leg up on many, but more info is never a bad thing.
To return the favor, Check out the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. No I am not even kidding. It’s a complimentary book to his World War Z novel and available on Amazon ect. It is written as if the zombie thing were real but simply replace “Zombie” with rampaging feral road warrior rejects” and it is an invaluable source of survival/defense info. Granted, dedicated prepper types probably know all thats in the book but for the more layman type, it is awesome to get your head in the right space for what you need to plan for.
Oh, yes, it sounds great. Thank-you. My kind of reading. You are right it is so important to practice in your mind what could happen and run through possible interventions and solutions.
I wish I could organize my neighbors. As far as I have gone as pass around my prepper novels. I also count my neighbors as farm boy/hicks and am trying to turn my husband and myself into mountain men/women.
