New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is returning to the early presidential caucus state of Iowa on Saturday where he is slated to speak at two events.
The potential 2016 Republican presidential contender is scheduled to speak at a luncheon for Rep. Steve King's (R-Iowa) annual pheasant hunt north of Akron before keynoting a birthday fundraiser for Gov. Terry Branstad (R) in Clive.
King's weekend hunt, held at the Hole N the Wall Lodge, has in the past attracted potential Republican contenders such as Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas), former Sen. Rick Santorum (Pennsylvania) and Texas Gov. Rick Perry. Christie, who will not be participating in the hunt, has held multiple fundraisers for King over the past several years despite criticism by Democrats, who point out King's conservative bonafides relative to Christie.
King faces a challenge from Democrat Jim Mowrer, an Iraq veteran The Des Moines Register endorsed this week.
After the luncheon, Christie, head of the Republican Governors Association, will speak at a Branstad fundraiser at Seven Flags Event Center in Clive, which offers up to a $25,000 VIP package for four, including a photo with the governor....

All I needed to know about Chris Christie I learned from this postcard.
No, CC does not have an Iowa base. CC is just sucking up.
There is no way I would ever vote for him.
Even in Clive, West Des Moines and Urbandale. What a waste of time.
I support the ban of assault weapons for all children ...under the age of eight....
Christie builds Iowa base,
hope he used adequate rebar....for that clearly necessary ...Extra Support
He also poured $250 million taxpayer dollars into a casino even the developers didn’t want to finish building and which closed soon after opening.
So he cannot claim to be a fiscal conservative either.
If this was a Rino hunt I could understand King inviting Christie, I am not impressed with conservatives who engage in rubbing Rino’s back.
uhg, that is all I have to say.
Romney, Christie and now the “new” Rand Paul. This race is shaping up to look like garbage so far.
Ah geez.
FRs need to go on a full attack after this election....attack the GOPe, Christie, Bush and others.

King then asked Christie to name the five businesses that were subject to the agreement Cohen had cited. After the witness did so, King pointed out that Cohen had issued a press release taking credit for an $800,000 earmark to one of those corporations, Smith & Nephew. King asked for unanimous consent to put Cohens press release into the the record, saying,

Negotiating these agreements was akin to land- ing five airplanes on the same runway at the same time. I would ask Mr. Christie if he would speak to the difficulty of this agree- ment.

Mr. KING. Thank you, Mr. Christie. And in conclusion if, with some deference from the Chair, I would like to just summarize this that I have not been able to get two opposing attorneys to agree on anything. The only way I can get them to agree is if they are paid by the same client.

He says he thinks Christies offer to help him relates to 2009, when Christie was called before Congress to defend his use of contracts as attorney general of New Jersey.
King says he defended Christie and others from what he considered a political lynching.
None of them will win Iowa.
I wouldn’t mind Huckabee winning because than Rand will be confused about pandering on social issues.
Fat boi is a bridge to nowhere.
Don’t call me Christie, call me Chubbsy Ubbsy!
The man is delusional. No way, no how will he win.
