Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson said Sunday that the 2016 presidential election might not happen due to anarchy.
His remarks on Fox News Sunday followed an interview two days earlier on Fox News Radio, during which he speculated that there may be no election because there may be so much anarchy going on.
I hope that thats not going to be the case, but certainly, there is the potential, Carson said Sunday, prompted by host Chris Wallace.
Because you have to recognize that we have a rapidly increasing national debt, a very unstable financial foundation and you have all these things going on like the ISIS crisis that could very rapidly change things that are going on in our nation, he said.
Adding to the anarchy, Carson said, is the fact that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has more than 300 bills waiting on his desk that he wont bring to the floor for a vote.
Theres no telling what could happen in just a matter of a couple of years, Carson said.
While Carson has not formally stated his intention to run in 2016, he placed second in a straw poll this weekend among Republicans at the Value Voters Summit. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz won.
Carson, a retired neurosurgeon, admitted that it would be easier not to run, since he has enough money to stop working.
Given the state of our nation, looking at whats going on and understanding that sometimes were called to do things that we dont want to do because we have to do them, he said.
And he sought to allay fears that he lacks any political experience, saying it isnt necessary for a president.
I think what is required for leadership is wisdom and the ability to assemble an appropriate team, he said. An ability to listen and an ability to make wise decisions.
He sucks on 2A and now he sucks on the Constitution.
If there is no election on November 8, 2016, the last vestige of legitimacy in FedGov will have disappeared by the time the polls should have closed. After that, I expect things to get ugly at a rate never before seen in any civilized country. There are no acceptable excuses for violating any portion of the Constitution, but especially not for an anti-American usurper to delay the election that would have returned an eligible candidate to the stolen office of the President of the United States.
I don’t think he will gather enough support and won’t run in 2016 presidential election. But he will make a good cabinet official with his knowledge of the medical profession.
If so — this administration has demonstrated a total disregard for the Constitution. There is nothing to prevent Obama and his cohorts from declaring a crisis and suspending the elections. Congress has demonstrated an unwillingness to challenge Obama on anything. And you can forget the courts too.
We had a presidential election in 1864. No matter what happens in the country, Obama needs to have his stuff packed and moved out before January 20, 2017, so his successor can move in.

Or what? Who is going to do anything about it if he doesn’t?
I actually agree with what you’re saying but the reality is that Obama does what he wants. It seems there are no checks and balances imposed on him and its clear that he has little if any regard for the Constitution. I would be more sanguine if there had been any evidence of constraints or consequces being applied to him.
We are heading for a very dark place.
If he doesn’t leave according to the law and the Constitution, then he needs to be removed. And that is all I am going to say.
Ben Carson is our best chance to get our country back but Republicans like Karl Rove will fight him with the Democrats. Republican leadership is sold that Socialism light is our only salvation. We are in a death spiral and the Republican party does not have the courage to do the right thing. Dr Carson is who we need.
I don’t have a candidate right now, but I’ll give him a look.
The elections are up to the states, not the President. We had them in the middle of the Civil War, so I really don’t think that a few riots on the order of Ferguson are going to make a pimple on an elephant’s butt. Carson is a very smart guy but he could use a little review of Civics 101.
In my humble opinion, Obama doesn’t even care. It’s been about HIM the entire time. He got what he wanted, I have no reason to believe otherwise. He’s accomplished nothing but disaster after disaster and HE didn’t even do that, he just supported the idiots who did it and abused his authority to promote those flawed causes (just like he was expected to do). He’ll come out and say the things he’s expected to say, but I don’t think he gives a damn who wins the election after his time is up. He’s going to cash his check and split.
Hillary is probably his biggest worry. She won’t tolerate anything or anybody getting in her way and of course she can, if necessary, muster up Bill’s support to make sure he “vacates the premises”. But other than that, Obama is not the least bit concerned criticism from Republicans or about any constitutional requirements for that matter.
He believes he is above the law, and sadly his string of unilateral actions over the past five years give him every reason to think that is the case.
The Clintons don’t want anything or anyone in their way. But the Chicago mob may believe the Clintons are in THEIR way. They took them down once. They can do it again.
Sorry but this guy is not ready for primetime. He doesn’t know exactly what kinds of weapons the public really needs to have and he does not seem to realize we are inching toward CWII or a counterrevolution not anarchy unless the GOP gets their poop in a group.
That is an excellent point. No way is Hillary going to let him sit on her face again. Even if Obama and those in his bunker came up with a scheme for him to stay on past his expiration date, there are other powerful and ambitious people who would fight him. If nothing else, I would hope there would be a vast movement of Americans of all political persuasions who still repect our system and who would fight what would be the absolute end of constitutional government in this country .
Exactly!
And that very reason it will never occur.
Nobama got elected in spite of who he really was. He was happy to go along for the nice ride while the real powers that pulled out all the stops and public opinion tricks to get him elected had their way with the USA.
The reasons were both progressive politics and about the money. The money grabbers, including Soros, wanted an outrageous POTUS to keep public attention focused on nobama’s antics while they rifled the Treasury in a thousand ways.
Yes, you may be right. And the unfortunate thing for the country is we couldn’t afford to have a president of his kind at this particular point in history. I hope he takes his retirement seriously and stays the he’ll out of public affairs. I won’t begrudge him his millions if they make him go away and shut up.
