Mitt Romney loyalists are trying to gin up the narrative that Republicans just can't get enough of Romney.
Democrats dont want to be associated with Barack Obama right now, but Republicans are dying to be associated with Mitt Romney, Spencer Zwick, "a longtime Romney confidant who chaired his national finance council," claimed to the Washington Post. The Chamber of Commerce, which has vowed to wage war on the Tea Party and push through amnesty legislation, glowingly praised Romney, alleging he would be in a "commanding position" if he entered the 2016 race.
Romney is reportedly set to make trips to West Virginia, North Carolina, Arkansas, Colorado, and Virginia to campaign for Republicans. Yet besides the media, most of the people clamoring for another Romney "comeback" are his loyalists and closest advisers, who defied all statistical models to lose an election many thought should never have been lost.
In a July article for Politico Magazine, Emil Henry, who "served in multiple roles in the 2012 campaign, including adviser to the economic team, television surrogate and fundraiser," laughingly alleged that "Romney is re-emerging as the de facto leader of the Republican Party."

Throw this bastard’s name on the trash heap along with Bob Dole and John McCain. I say bastards, not because they aren’t good, upstanding American people, but because they refused to fight the good fight when they were thrown, at their own insistence, into the breach.
How dare any of them ever be mentioned again in the same breath as “winning”.
Let’s do a FReeper poll between:
ONLY!!!!!!
Cruz
and
Romney
They are getting more and more worried about Ted’s effectiveness. So, the wagons are being circled around a guy who lost a cinch race b/c of timidity.
haha. I haven’t read anything here at FR for awhile and today I look and here we have it!!! The premiere conservative website with all of its main characters going BONKERS over a washpo piece with “reportedly” and “allegedly”........nothing gets the group of main characters here fired up like a ‘story’ about Romney, Bush or really anyone else who isn’t their number “one” choice for President.
Let’s see, honestly, how long until one of the main characters here on the premiere conservative website claims that they would rather vote for Hillary than elect “X”. The odd thing is, “X” varies from main character to main character......there is zero consensus among the main characters, just absolute and unadulterated HATRED towards anyone who dares suggest that a republican would be a BETTER President than the ultimate liberal who will be on the ballot.
It sure as heck is odd.
Most of those are states he carried. to that extent it makes sense. having romney on the campaign trail reinforces the principle that Obama is the real issue.
it will probably induce and enhance a national case of buyer’s remorse.
Unfortunately, Milt has his supporters here.
Bzzzzzzzt. Wrong
Milt is a member of the GOP-wing of the Democrat Party. We tried that already.
Links?
I remember Pat Paulsen. With all the Idiots and chumps out there, could Pat Paulsen be any worse?
(13 runs without a winner.)
Romney was last on my list, but I voted for him. There was no other choice. You ‘I’ll show you Repubs for not nominating my guy- I’ll just stay home’ helped put the muzzie in office. There’s no way he could have caused the devastation that Obama has. At least he is an American. I doubt he’ll run again anyway.
Do you remember Romney coming out against the GOP pro-life platform, and returning to his pro-abortion position AFTER he won the nomination?
Who’s your candidate for 2016? Do you have a favorite? How on earth will you convince the main characters here on the premiere conservative website to back your candidate?
You better hope that your candidate NEVER endorsed someone “they” hate.......OR voted “nay” on a procedural amendment to a piece of legislation....OR had one of the main characters chastise your candidate for simply “not being conservative enough”. Your candidate needs to conform to all of the demands of the main characters here, even though those demands are simply all OVER the place. The main thing your candidate needs to do is agree to lose to the democrat. That’s what makes the main characters here very happy.
Now THAT sure as heck is odd.
Romney’s name is poison. People can dream though.
