Sarah Palin forcefully defended the only woman fighting for the Republican nomination for Georgia's open Senate seat and hit back Thursday against a rival's apparent dismissal of Karen Handel's high school education.
David Perdue, the former Dollar General CEO, said that "there's a high school graduate in this race, OK? I'm sorry but these issues are so much broader, so complex" as he talked about the economy and the federal deficit during a January meeting captured on video....

I find it very hard to believe that Charlie Rangle, Sheila Jackson Lee,
John Conyers have college degrees!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!
A high I.Q. and desire for more knowledge not only trumps a college degree but usually is the reason those with a high I.Q. drop out.
They want to learn what they want to know and not what somebody else tells them to learn.
I met a man years ago who was a high school drop out with a very high I.Q. and several honorary doctorates.
Got to timeout for mentioning SJ-L :)
He’s a cousin of Sonny Perdue, the chicken king and former Gov. old GA money and probably a lot more Democrat than Republican. There have been several members of the Perdue clan in GA politics, but this snob’s political ambitions should be aborted early.
Thats the joke, and it’s true from most I have ever known. They know a ton of stuff on whatever they are studying, the small, small, thing they are studying.
Not taking away from the actual intelligentPhD’s out there.
I agree, I did go to college but I learned a heck of a lot more on the job than I ever did in college!!!
Piled higher (and) Deeper
Those who must brag of their education cause me to wonder if they have no accomplished work to demonstrate their value.
What an arrogant statement. If he’s the nominee, it could be used against him. Also, this might bring some attention to the Karen Handel campaign, which is underfunded.
Handel is my first choice and she needs all the help she can get.
I’m thinking I like Perdue less even than establishment favorite Jack Kingston.
But mostly I want to see RonPaulish creationist Paul Broun defeated before he has a chance to make “Senatrix Nunn” a real possibility.
Yes, we are, Harry, yes we are.
Some of the dumbest people I know are college graduates.
(that statement infuriates libs and elitists)
Paliln needs to prepare for disapointment. Handel is Ok but more of a moderate. We need a real conservative like Paul Broun who has the stones to stand up with Cruz, Paul and Lee. Karen Handel and David Purdue will not be aggressive conservatives.
I hope Akin Gingrey and Broun get in to the runoff.
This is similar to attacking any of Broun’s statements they aren’t relevant to anything he will vote on.
She doesn’t always endorse the very most conservative, but the most conservative person she thinks can actually get elected.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is a college dropout.
It’s too early for Broun to make the leap to the Senate.
Any of the republican candidates can beat Michelle (seed of Gumby) Nunn. We need the most conservative people we can find if we ever want to make significant changes.
Well we will see. I and my family are voting for Broun and most of our friends are also.
Mark Neumann in WI ran for the Senate in 1996 after only 2 terms in Congress. He was a Tea Party Republican before it even existed. He lost to Feingold, and has lost 3 separate elections since then.
