I’d consider voting for him to be my leader, and I expect that I’d vote for him.
With regard to NBC...that is a phrase that has no meaning.
Maybe it used to have some meaning at some point in our history, but not anymore.
That being said, I guaran-damn-tee the slithering GOP will say he is not eligible.
Excuse me, but there are lots of Americans who have complete certainty on what the Framers meant by the phrase, 'Natural Born Citizen'.
And Article II, Section I has nothing to do with who runs for the White House, but everything to do with who is eligible to hold the office of President.
He was born in Canada. Therefore, he is ineligible to be President.
After Barry the Sequesterer, ANYONE on the planet who can fog a mirror is eligible. That was why the commie ‘RATS put him in there in the first place. It was the commies’ first all out assault on the U.S. Constitution. It worked.
He definitely has my vote and enthusiastic support.
Well for now you can have one foreign parent and still be a natural born citizen. Until the court finally reaffirms what “NBC” means.
The facts:
Sen. Cruz was born in a foreign country.
His mother was a U.S. citizen when Ted was born.
Since Ted Cruz was born in another country, it took a Congressional statue for his mother to pass US citizenship to him.
Congress (only) has the power of "naturalization" per our Constitution.
Ted Cruz is a "naturalized" citizen from birth (because his birth citizenship relies on a Congressional statue from that period of time).
Fine, he can be a Senator, a Rep, a Govenor and so on. But.. Ted Cruz is most definitely not a "natural born Citizen" since Congress can not declare such on their own (absent participation in an amendment).
Sen. Ted Cruz has been a great Senator to date, I'm sure he'll continue to be so. But enough already with this absurd notion that he's a "natural born Citizen." The Constitution mandates a POTUS (& VPUTOS) be one.
No more usurpers.
If this mooselimb fag from Kenya is elegible than a Canadian goose is too
What an incredibly poorly done article!
Is he somehow unaware of the basis of arguments to the contrary—or does he simply misstate and overlook them in order to make the contrary weak enough for him to shoot it down?
And this from a constitutional law professor!
Why are only Republicans investigated as to eligibility when a foreigner with a shady past is never questioned because he’s a Democrat?
This post appears to be broken: Many comments are missing from the end.
I am certain of what it means. I dont need someone to esplain it to me. I understand it completely. Two conditions of NBC , Place Of Birth & Parents -existing citizenship. They are trying to confuse us again.
Carson may not be firm on the 2nd amendment, don’t rush to judgement.
On a seasonal note, the handsome Senator said he's part Irish.......his father being Cuban, his mother (Eleanor Darragh) being of Irish and Italian lineage.
Cruz was born in 1970, so he's 43 years old. He was baptized Rafael Edward Cruz.
The surname,"Darragh", means "oak" in Gaelic. Very apropos.....because to me, he's mighty like an oak as he expounds on his super-commendable conservative principles.

There are a significant number of “facts” being thrown around this thread by both sides, when in reality there are only three facts:
1. There is only one group of citizens whose natural-born status cannot be questioned and that is those born on U.S. soil to U.S. citizen parents.
2. We can make arguments for and against all other groups.
3. Until the SCOTUS rules on whether or not statutory citizens at birth are natural-born citizens under the meaning of the Constitution and therefore eligible to the presidency, doubt exists.
