John McCain has gotten quite a bit of attention after he took to the Senate floor on Thursday to publicly rebuke (which is actually sugercoating it) a member of his own party, Rand Paul, for holding a 13-hour filibuster on the issue of drone strikes. McCain talked with Piers Morgan tonight about his objections to Paul, and observed that when he speaks his mind against GOP leadership hes considered a brave maverick, but when he rebuts the filibuster of one junior senator hes suddenly the angry old man whos out of touch with reality.
McCain explained to Morgan that he thinks its completely ridiculous to assume the United States would just decide to kill a citizen on American soil, saying its not the world of reality. He said that in the grand scope of U.S. foreign policy, there are more pressing issues to deal with than the hypothetical offered up by Paul...

Wonder how long before a forced retirement. The breakdown he’s heading for looks like it would require an extended hospital stay at least.
McQueeg whining to Piers Morgan ? What a sad, silly, senile fool.
He should’ve been retired after his first term in the Senate... in 1992.
Apples and Oranges, Juan baby. When you buck the GOP, the MSM calls you "a Maverick."
When you buck the GOP, the GOP calls you "an Angry Old Man."
Do you see the difference Juan?

(there, that's better!)
Arizona, what the hell were you thinking?
What kind of man goes crying to Piers Morgan?
Where is Sarah on this? She needs to speak up against the bitter old fool. McCain is envious of the youth and stamina of a young senator, who got all this publicity and upended McCain’s expecting major TV face time because of his playing footsie with the community organizer from Chicago.
I feel the same way, even though it meant we were stuck with obama. I really believed he would be a one-term president, but thanks to the GOPE - we got another moderate who can’t win elections. Sigh!
Why blame the GOPe for the moderate from Mass.? He never crossed the 30% barrier in primaries in spite of all this GOPe support you claim he received!
Let’s be honest, only reason the lone moderate won nomination because the conservatives could not unite behind a single candidate, and to make matters worse, they formed a circular firing squad. Bachmann attacked Cain, Santorum attacked Newt, Newt attacked Perry, on and on and on. They stayed in to the last bitter end dividing the conservative voters and cleared the path for the moderate from Massachusetts.
“McCain explained to Morgan”.......
Yet another moronic thing McCain has done, explaining/talking to Piers Morgan. I voted for John McCain WHY????????? Oh yeah, for Sarah.
Time to retire this @sshole out in a cornfield somewhere, anywhere!!!
I liked Newt, with all his faults, he would have wiped the floor with Obama at the debates. Would have been a site to behold!
heading to his facebook page to throw my two cents at him too!
Awesome! I read the first 70 replies. I didn’t see a single person say anything nice. :p
Angry? Maybe. Crazy as a shithouse rat? Definitely.
...”I’ll get flamed for this, but...I’m glad he lost in 2008. He wouldn’t have been a tyrant like Obama, but all the same, he still would have been a lousy president. He acts like a spoiled child. He represents much of what’s wrong with the Republican Party”...
I have watched John McCain become a liberal over several years now. He has assisted the left at every turn and what about that daughter of his? Who is further left than her? McCain should come clean and switch to the Democratic party. It would be the honorable thing to do.
