The buzz is that Ann Romney's speech was off the charts and that Chris Christie's speech was moderately good but didn't have the red meat people wanted. I tend to disagree. Christie's speech was fantastic but in a much more subtle way. He showed the stark differences. Thoughts?
Her speech did not move me, either. I am a woman, but then I was cooking in the kitchen so missed some of it.
Mitt Romney is the boss you wish you had if you kick ass and get your job done. You can quote me on that.
I know plenty about Mormonism, and even more about the ignorance, fear and bigotry all dressed up in the neat package that portrays itself as true Christianity when it is the farthest thing from it. You are a small minded bigot who believes that people who have a strong conviction and faith that differs from yours are not only mistaken but evil. I pity you for your mindless hatred. Shame on you!
But you know. And you can see the sham. A white washed tomb with lots of dead bodies rotting within is hard to miss. I bet many see it as you do but they are too insecure to dissent from group think dogma. |
i thought both speeches were excellent. ann helped mitt as she made him look more human and less wooden then he appears in public. why not emphasize family and children & grandchildren when the rats feel no guilt by placing and anchor of debt around the necks of my great-great grandchildren.
next time i hear a rat that we must “do it for the children” i will have a a hard time restraining myself from punching the idiot in the nose.
christie, well he emphasized that the rats said it couldn’t be done, yet under republican leadership it got done.
some of the best commercials that could be made would be a comparison between republican governors and rat governors.
how hard would it to compare communistfornia with jerry spacecadet brown versus Scott Walker?
they’re going bankrupt and republican governors are pulling their states back to prosperity.
no emotions, just plain hard facts.
blessings, bobo
That’s not my point of view. That is the Mormon point of view. Ask a Mormon. They’ll tell you I’m right.
What did he say ?
Obviously, you are clueless to the socialistic RomneyCare with abortion, romney initiating same sex marriage and personally married the perverts - he is EVIL to the core so DON’T taint conservatism with that maggot!
SHUT UP she explained.
Christie’s speech was fantastic ... for Christie.
Self serving to say the very least.
Actually I liked what I heard of Nikki Haley’s better than Ann’s or Christie’s. She actually made it clear that this nomination is about defeating Obama and the Democrats, not just an annual holiday getaway or something. Haley went through a great laundry list of the obscenities the Obama administration had inflicted on her state. She came off as a lot more strong, confident, substantive and intelligent than Ann Romney. Granted, Ann’s not a politician, but fluff is fluff. Christie was good on specifics on what he had done in NJ, but he didn’t do a great job connecting it to the heat we’re supposed to bringing to Obama. For one thing, education is supposed to be a state issue, especially to Republicans, so talking about teachers doesn’t have a lot to do with the campaign against Obama.
I earned my GI Bill with my service. It wasn’t given to me.
“It is time for us, as a new greatest generation, to save America as our parents/grand parents did from the Axis and the USSR. The challenge is as great.”
What a great statement / summation you have made! Thank you very much.
The fear of Mormons is a bit sickening. Yeah, they have grown quickly as a religion, but so have others through time. I don’t fear them. Teach what you know and the truth will win out.
At least Mormons are not killing people who convert out of their religion. The people that Obama deeply feels for and sympathizes with and was raised with do that.
Who do you rather have for the next 4 years?
Her marriage comment was in reference to her marriage being hard work, just like everyone else’s, with MS and cancer and raising 5 kids, not like in a fairytale. Did you two even really listen to the speech?
We have freedom of religion in this country. I don’t have to agree with them on everything. ...and vice versa.
Romney is obviously capable of doing what Obama hasn’t done.
Go seek out Mormons. Let them tell you what they believe. Then come back and apologize to me.
Condi wants what Anne has.
Chris Christie, who says he is a Catholic, also believes you are born homosexual, and believes it’s OK to murder a child if you don’t like who the father is, as in cases of rape and incest. He is also for civil unions for homosexuals.
All three of these stances go against the Catholic Church and Christie could care less. He’s another cafeteria Catholic, in the same vein as Joe Biden, but not quite as bad.
