Condi Rice!
Smart as a whip and a delightfully able woman.
She may accept if given real power within the administration, ala Dick Chaney. Newt needs a woman to soften his negatives among women and Condi would help with the African-American voters also. Sarah should be put in charge of the energy dept. (if we don't give it the ax).

I know the VP slot isn’t usually a big deal as far as getting enough votes to sway an election, but I don’t think Newt or Romney can beat Obama on their own. Each needs a very electable runningmate or we’re going to be looking at 4 more yrs of Obama and the further destruction of this country - No unknowns or people with skeletons in their closets or past controversies. The nominee needs to pick someone people are familiar with and who is liked already - someone the Independents will vote for.
The goal is to get rid of Obama.

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts suggesting Ohio governor John Kasick. Sounds like a good choice and given the state, a good strategic move.

Most likely, that is if Newt wins the nomination, he will pick someone from a swing state that can deliver a good number of electoral votes.

Natural Born Citizen's need only apply.Good. That means Marco Rubio qualifies since he is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN who was born in Miami. The only other category is NATURALIZED citizen which he is NOT.

Rubio, obviously. He’s young, handsome (two qualities the ticket could sorely use), popular with tea partiers, and most importantly comes bearing a large swing state on his shoulders.
