I think we should worry about getting Newt nominated first. It’s far from over, the establishment is still solidly for Willard and will be fighting us for the long haul, probably until Newt has all the delegates he needs to win.

I think a good, popular conservative from OH/PA area or perhaps CO/NV? I know everyone is gung ho for Rubio but the GOP should already have Florida leaning towards are side (if we don’t, we’re in huge trouble). Just like 2004, Ohio will likely decide the election.

This is going to be a very close election. It would be nice to have a true blue rock solid conservative as his running mate, but that wouldn't be good election strategy.

The best choices would be Mitch Daniel or Chris Christie, even though if Newt wins that would give either of them a platform to run from as a liberal Republican in 2020.

We can always hope that Mitch or Chris will grow more conservative in a Newt administration as they see acceptable approximations of conservative policies put in place.

Romney had it all sewed up before anyone even voted in Iowa.

Sad to see no one has learned from that mistake.

Suggestion: Maybe Newt should win at least ONE state primary before we declare him the next Republican to lose to the Muslim Messiah and his MSM whores.

Paul Ryan maybe...although he’s pretty good where he is. I like Governor Walker of Wisconsin - that guy has guts. What would the unions do if he became VP and appointed someone else - keep on whining? Yeah, silly question.

Ron Paul (ducking) to pull in the OWS, Libertarian, right-of-left center vote, the young, the disaffected, the confused, and just about everyone else who might live in one of the outer wings of 'the big tent'.

Face it, McCain having a Conservative for a running mate made his totals far better than they would have been otherwise. This way Newt could actually take some votes form Obama.

It’s hilarious that anyone can look at the Newt campaign and think he has any organization past South Carolina. Rush was talking about this today. What happens when the state is beyond one media market? What is the ad campaign? Have they looked at buying media time?

I’m a natural-born citizen! So’s my wife - she might be a more entertaining pick...

Would you like to be VP, honey?

I’m thinking West would be a prime pick for VP as well, since:

1) He’s already offered
2) He’s ideologically compatible with Newt
3) Deflates the racial narrative
4) He’s quite potent when he talks, but without the dominating personality Newt has
5) Good catch for Florida delegates

Could be a very powerful team IMO. And sets up West to continue the legacy after Newt’s 8 years.

Ron Paul could be a good Sec. of Treasury maybe.

I trust Newt to make a very intelligent and strategic decision if and when the time for such a decision comes so I would simply defer to his judgement on that one. He knows what he’s doing.
