So, who should Newt pick for a Vice President?
It's never to early to start lobbying for this. We don't want a "Quayle" pick after all we've been through getting Newt this far. Natural Born Citizen's need only apply.
TOPICS: Issues
KEYWORDS: elections; newt; teaparty; vp

I guess we know what you are Smokin..

I could see Dr. Paul as VP, as long as the housekeeper criscos up the stairs every morning over in the VP residence.
Now, this is after we get Paul Ryan Speaker of the House.

It’s hilarious that anyone can look at the Newt campaign and think he has any organization past South Carolina. Rush was talking about this today. What happens when the state is beyond one media market? What is the ad campaign? Have they looked at buying media time?

I’m a natural-born citizen! So’s my wife - she might be a more entertaining pick...
Would you like to be VP, honey?

I’m thinking West would be a prime pick for VP as well, since:
1) Hes already offered
2) Hes ideologically compatible with Newt
3) Deflates the racial narrative
4) Hes quite potent when he talks, but without the dominating personality Newt has
5) Good catch for Florida delegates
Could be a very powerful team IMO. And sets up West to continue the legacy after Newts 8 years.
Ron Paul could be a good Sec. of Treasury maybe.

I trust Newt to make a very intelligent and strategic decision if and when the time for such a decision comes so I would simply defer to his judgement on that one. He knows what he’s doing.

He says he wants Suzanna Martinez, GOV NM, which is good, dovetails with the SW support Arpaio will be bringing courtesy Perry. That would be a good choice (BTW, Newt has mentioned a lot of possible running mates). Another would be John Kasich. They've worked together great in the house, and nobody knows the budget issues better than Kasich except maybe Gingrich. Plus now John has esceutive expreience. He could also help get the establishement moderates behind Newt, or at least not sabotaging him. And he could help in Ohio, a state Obama must win.
