VP Choices: Who do we want for Newt's VP?
Vanity | 1/18/2012 | BizHvyWt

So, who should Newt pick for a Vice President?

It's never to early to start lobbying for this. We don't want a "Quayle" pick after all we've been through getting Newt this far. Natural Born Citizen's need only apply.

I think we should worry about getting Newt nominated first. It’s far from over, the establishment is still solidly for Willard and will be fighting us for the long haul, probably until Newt has all the delegates he needs to win.

I think a good, popular conservative from OH/PA area or perhaps CO/NV? I know everyone is gung ho for Rubio but the GOP should already have Florida leaning towards are side (if we don’t, we’re in huge trouble). Just like 2004, Ohio will likely decide the election.

This is going to be a very close election. It would be nice to have a true blue rock solid conservative as his running mate, but that wouldn't be good election strategy.

The best choices would be Mitch Daniel or Chris Christie, even though if Newt wins that would give either of them a platform to run from as a liberal Republican in 2020.

We can always hope that Mitch or Chris will grow more conservative in a Newt administration as they see acceptable approximations of conservative policies put in place.

He says he wants Suzanna Martinez, GOV NM, which is good, dovetails with the SW support Arpaio will be bringing courtesy Perry.

I think Pence would be good, Paul Ryan, but a GOV needs to be on the ticket. Perry doesn’t want VP. He mangles and maims under the radar, so we need him as Chief of Staff. To get rid of the staff of at least 4 departments.

I think Newt would satisfy more of us by presenting us his Cabinet and administrative choices and ponder VP after the convention.

Romney had it all sewed up before anyone even voted in Iowa.

Sad to see no one has learned from that mistake.

Suggestion: Maybe Newt should win at least ONE state primary before we declare him the next Republican to lose to the Muslim Messiah and his MSM whores.

Paul Ryan maybe...although he’s pretty good where he is. I like Governor Walker of Wisconsin - that guy has guts. What would the unions do if he became VP and appointed someone else - keep on whining? Yeah, silly question.

No thanks, Newt is liberal enough. He doesn’t need any more help from RINOs like Daniels and Chris Christie. Colonel West or Sarah Palin, either of them would be quite acceptable.

Ron Paul (ducking) to pull in the OWS, Libertarian, right-of-left center vote, the young, the disaffected, the confused, and just about everyone else who might live in one of the outer wings of 'the big tent'.

Face it, McCain having a Conservative for a running mate made his totals far better than they would have been otherwise. This way Newt could actually take some votes form Obama.

Too true.

He had a brain fart. We’ll just have to air him out a little.

We have already seen that an HW Bush veep would be a disaster.

Newt would need a respected conservative to balance his ticket, a reformer, someone from Alaska.

The truth is that we don’t know, the race and the competing ticket help shape these decisions, speculation is useless.
