I vote for Newt!
---
* Newt Gingrich?
* Mitt Romney?
* Rick Perry?
* Michele Bachmann?
* Rick Santorum?
* Jon Huntsman?
Who will "push back" the federal government's unconstitutional assumption of powers rightly held by the States? Who will take on the problem, and not just dab at the edges of the symptoms?
Surely, among so many who call themselves "Republicans", one will speak and act for the republic?
Jeb Bush.
Seriously — if we have to pick someone with some real baggage, Jeb Bush is a much better conservative than Newt Gingrich.
But no, not seriously, except as I said if we were just picking crappy candidates, Jeb Bush would be a much better one than Newt Gingrich.
I still say Michelle Bachman, or Rick Perry, or Rick Santorum. Even though the three together can’t seem to beat Newt right now. That will all change if one of them can make a surge in Iowa. Look at what McCain did with a surprise 3rd-place finish in Iowa, and a win in New Hampshire.
let me ask you a question, of the all the republican canidates who do you think would be worse than obama?
Something that I wouldn't have predicted in a million years. It's a powerful testament to what a lame field we have.
We should have a Reagan to vote for now, not a Creature From Beltway Island.
Ron Paul
His economic stuff won't do us any good if we quit defending our nation.
The barbarians WILL come to our shores. Thousands of years of human history guarantees it.
If you really wanted to cut through the chase of primary infighting games; start a poll thread asking if the current Palin/Cain/Gingrich supporters would get behind Perry if he chose Palin as a VP?
PERRY/Rubio 2012
Newt
Is that question designed to eliminate the consideration of any course of action except voting for a Republican?
are you answering with a question to avoid answering? I feel that any of the canidates listed would be better than obama, some more than others, but if my top choice isn’t the nominee i’m not going to go pout about it and not vote at all or split the vote and waste it on some 3rd party loser
One heck of campaign slogan.
Yes, I'm laughing at myself.......
If you don't like having it done to you, don't do it to me.
We're running out of opportunities to turn this around. To have any chance we need to get the federal government under control. For that to happen, we need to take back authority they've assumed and return it to the States, where it belongs.
The Republican Party establishment appears not to be interested in doing that at all. They want to keep that power in the hands of the federal government, but under their control. They don't want to give it back.
They want me to agree to let them have it because I'm afraid of what Democrats will do with it. Where I come from we call that "extortion".
My sentiments, exactly. I can't express the depth of my disappointment with this race.
Here is my ranking:
Palin
Perry—Gingrich tied
Santorum
Bachmann
(Then we seperate things quite a bit)
Huntsman
(more seperation)
Romney
(a bit of seperation)
Barack Obama—Ron Paul (these 2 are tied)
(Not much difference here)
Kim Jong Il
so when you create the perfect canidate who believes everything that you do let me know who that is and i’ll support them untill then Ill take what i can get even if it means choosing between the lesser of two evils or who will hurt me the least
I want one thing - a national governemt of limited and enumerated powers, according to the original intent of the United States Constitution and it's amendments.
Maybe that's just too nuanced for the GOP.
Another great reason to support Newt: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2822439/posts
Newt Gingrich.
Stop messing around.
GINGRICH, the serious candidate who doesn’t have to say he’s the serious candidate.
Whatever the name of the 'newly' crowned dictator-jr. there...
