Rick Santorum is grateful for any help he can get from Sarah Palin.

The GOP presidential nominee hasn't yet secured Palin's endorsement, he told Candy Crowley on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday, but he said he was grateful for the kind words she's offered recently.

--snip--

Santorum has been fundraising off Palin's comments after she told Sean Hannity on Fox News earlier this month...

I heard here that she was "washed-up," a "quitter," and "irrelevant" so what gives?

Is it me, or is Santorum sounding somewhat desperate? I am 100% certain that she is getting requests from all candidates to endorse them. At this point, and from what I have heard from her, she will not endorse anyone. If she does, that candidate will become THE candidate. I am sure Mitt is willing to pay more than $10k for that endorsement.

Memo to Rick:
You’re a nice guy. You are right on most of the issues. I am glad you are in th national conversation. But endorse you? For President? LOL.

Best,
Sarah

The Arlen Spector endorser wants a Palin endorsement?

I cannot believe people are ready to give Newt a pass for his many sins, but poor Rick screwed up once and he is cooked? That just seems so unfair to me. He was already punished once for this and others want to put the nails in the coffin. Can’t the guy be forgiven.......ever?

“Is it me, or is Santorum sounding somewhat desperate”

Reminds me of Michelle pandering to the Cain supporters in last nights debate. Sarah has already said that she would not endorse anyone before the Iowa primary. Than again she might not support anyone until the nominee has been chosen.

Stand in line, right now she’s busy caressing Trump’s ego.

If every person who said, “I really like what Santorum stands for, but he’s going nowhere in the polls,” would actually decide to support him instead of choosing another candidate based on higher poll #’s, Santorum would easily be in the top three.

Let me make this one perfectly clear...

Newt said he was wrong, he was sorry, he has changed and is a new man.

Santorum said, I am smarter than you, you don't understand why I did those things, I know what is best for you, trust me.

The polls tell us which one of those is playing best with the voters. And it is not the "I am smarter than you" one.

The most notable thing Newt ever did was the Contract with America. The most notable thing Santorium ever did was run his truck over Pat Twomey in order to give Arlen the opportunity to stick his finger in the eyes of Republicans for 6 more years.

I agree. This fixation with Santorum's onetime Spector screw-up, given the fault-filled field we now have, is bizarre.

I think voters are making a mistake. The Obama campaign is chopping at the bit to have Newt the nominee. Not only are alot of conservatives not going to vote for a philanderer, but by the time the Obama Administration is done with him, he will be in a mental institution. I believe that only two candidates are worthy of the Presidency and that is Bachmann and Santorum. Ok so Santorum “messed up” one time....big deal. Get over it. It's not like he sat next to Nancy Pelosi or anything. If Sanotrum is truly too much for you to get behind than we have another perfect candidate in Bachmann. I PRAY EVERYDAY THAT SHE WINS IOWA. She won't win NH. However, after winning Iowa, she will go into South Carolina looking good.

Contract with America lasted a few years.

We got Toomey elected into the Senate. You know Arlen would have won anyway. You do know that don’t you. Yep I am from Pennsylvania and at that time he was the only one who could win.

“The Arlen Spector endorser wants a Palin endorsement?”

Show us the presidential candidates who have less flaws than Santorum. Don’t be stuck on one possible misjudgment, and ignore the really horrendous misjudgments of the majority of the other candidates.

At the time, I sent Santorum an email about being disappointed that he didn’t endorse Toomey.

BUT when I found out it was because he thought that Specter would have a better chance of winning than Toomey, and he wanted the Republicans to have the majority so they would have control of the Judicial Committee, I understood Santorum’s logic. Controlling the Judicial Committee is HUGE, because activist judges can destroy our Constitution and have already damaged it tremendously.

When the Dems have control of the Judicial Committee, they wouldn’t allow many of Bush’s conservative judicial picks to go to the floor for an up, or down, vote. And libDems especially do this if it is a conservative minority, like Estrada.

Pat Toomney later endorsed Santorum, because he knows Santorum is a good man.

You are so right! Four years ago (yesterday) McCain was 2nd to last of all the GOP presidential candidates!
