Palin goes for outsourced labor vote? [New Hampshire Romneybots attack her India trip]
The Manchester Union-Leader ^ | February 23, 2011 | Drew Cline, Editorial Page Editor

Politico reports that Sarah Palin is planning a trip to India in March.

I know, presidential candidates like to travel abroad to boost their foreign policy credentials. And Palin needs those credentials badly. But I find it hard to believe that, presumably less than a year from the primary, someone who makes a trip to India a higher priority than a trip to New Hampshire is a serious presidential candidate. Chalk this up as one more bit of evidence that she’s probably not running.

I don’t know about this conclave. In this years roster, they have the inventor of the internet speaking. The only problem is they name him as Sir Tim Berners Lee, Inventor of the World Wide Web and not Algore. This could be a phony event with fraudulent attendees.

Outsourced labor or no, they don’t have a vote, but India is an important ally we need to keep friends with. Lord knows 0bama has pissed off most the others.

Yea, Estblishment RINO’s and Libtards are worried.

Be afraid girls - be very afraid.

Heh. Al took the initiative in creating the Internet. Sir Tim is the guy who actually got it done.

The reason why the Romneybots at the Union Leader are scared of her is that they’ve been told that Palin is the best retailer out there.

She will be phenomenal. Right now, she’s no better than third place in NH. That’s perfect for her now.

I’d MUCH RATHER be in her position now than in Romney’s. Mittens has nowhere to go but down.

BTW, it’s a shame about what has happened to the Union Leader since Nackey Loeb died. A damn shame!

Best,

Chris

As a New Hampshire guy born and bred I have standing to say this — NH has to get over itself. This first-in-the-nation thing is so mid 20th century.

NH is a weird little state and the Republicans there are way past clueless en route to brain dead. The last three Republican primaries have gone for John McCain twice and Pat (the loose) Buchanan. When people drive that erratically they get their license revoked. When they vote that erratically (and irrationally) nobody should pay any attention to them. New Hampshire long since forfeited the right to be taken seriously so it is hardly surprising that it isn't at the top of Palin’s list of must visit places.

That said, Palin will break double digits in NH, which is all she needs to do. It won't even be a speed bump on her road to the nomination. NH will probably nurse a grievance about that. It never forgave GWB for having the temerity to flatten McCain in defiance of the holy first primary. But Bush got to serve two terms anyway. You can do just fine in Republican politics without getting any love from NH.

No presidential candidate outside of a sitting Secretary of State or a Vice-President that's running in their own right has foreign policy credentials.

Here's the beauty of Sarah: She's restoring sanity back to the electoral process. If she wasn't in the news, all these other losers would have announced back in January (or even right after the mid-terms like Duncan Hunter did) and we would have been subjected to endless attack ads, debates, and other political posturing.

Now that Sarah is a threat, the rest are waiting to see what she does or they're dropping out altogether. That means Sarah can announce her candidacy late, and throw everyone else off of their timetable.

A great time for Sarah to announce her presidential run is in August, right before the NFL season, right smack during the August recess, also during her 3rd anniversary of being picked as McCain's VP and before the 10th anniversary of 9/11

OMG! as the kids say. Not only the Indian Prime Minister, but famous historian Niall Fergusson, Fatima Bhutto, Germaine Greer, Sir Tim Berners Lee (inventor of the world-wide web), Nobel peace prize winner Mohamed ElBaradei and yet Gov. Palin is the keynote speaker. She is truly the shadow president. This, by itself, puts the lie to the whole of the Left's & RINO's last two years attacks on her!! http://conclave.intoday.in/conclave/conclave2011.php

They could have also titled this "Palin speaks to the largest democracy in the world".

“Sir Tim Berners Lee (inventor of the world-wide web),”

I thought Algore invented the internet.

"They are all afraid of the girl."

I agree with that sentiment and contention, but maybe not for the same reasons.

Anyone who runs against Palin in the primary will earn the eternal animus of the conservative base. Doesn't matter if they win or lose, they'll never win a general election...because that base will never, ever vote for them.

And, that base will remember...decades into the future.

And, if Romney holds true to form and goes for personal destruction...his career in the GOP is over. Forever.

That's why I see a 3-way race in 2012...Palin, Romney (Independent) and Obama.

Obama could win that one.

LOL! So true, but the "Union Leader" doesn't seem to have figured that out, yet.

I tend to agree. I really want to get this thing started, with her in it, to see how it plays out.

At this time in the last election we had ten announced democrats and five announced Republicans already…why do you think no one has announced yet…?

I'm certainly not complaining that the campaigning hasn't begun. I'd love to see the campaign start around October 1.
