Sarah Palin, everyone's favorite Christian conservative hockey mom turned ex-Governor of Alaska, is headed to the Dallas-Fort Worth area for a book signing event in Plano. This is the only book signing scheduled for North Texas to promote Sarah's new book "Going Rogue - An American Life."
And which lucky store gets the honor? Legacy Books, a massive three-level 24,000 sq. foot independently owned bookstore located at 7300 Dallas Parkway, Plano, TX 75024.
Legacy Book's website states: "Tickets to Sarah Palin's GOING ROGUE book signing at Legacy Books sold out completely in November in just two days ... Access to the store during Friday's event will largely be limited to those who already have tickets to the event."
If you do not have a ticket, all is not lost ... Tickets are being offered on Craig's List for as low as $1 and as high as $500 - although that does include a copy of "Going Rogue" which has sold out at Legacy Books.

I hope she’s coming by stagecoach, cause ya know, flying is a no-no.
Tomorrow, Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A fellow freeper is going to the book signing with her daughter who is a HUGE fan of Sarah’s. She will provide us all info about the event tomorrow
Flying with a group (ie commercial) is ok. It’s when you fly a G5 home every week after 3 backbreaking days of work.....kinda like Queen Pelosi.
I don’t think Sarah’s been flying a G5; a G2 I think. But hey, it if it gets her to appearances on time. And she probably meets more constituents, or potential ones anyway, in a day, than Queen Nancy has in her whole career.
Damn! That is about 20 minutes away from me and I can’t believe I am just hearing of it. I have to work anyway but would have shown up just to cheer for my favorite pol since she’s in the ‘hood.
She will sell over 2 million before the end of the year. That’s way more than Slick and Hillary, and more sold in the first week than Zero’s Ayers-written book.
I've been grumbling about missing Sarah. I live maybe 25 minutes away from Legacy Books in Plano, but I've got a job tomorrow that I can't reschedule. I won't be finished early enough to get there before it's all over, darn it.
Oh well, I'll give her a "yee-haw" from across town.
starting at 11 is true, but since people will probably start lining up hours before, it’s kind of misleading. The website didn’t state the 2pm cut-off time so I’m curious to find out if she leaves on schedule, especially if people are still waiting to see her. 3 hrs to go through 1000 people = 10.8 seconds per person.
