Letter to Chairman Steele [re: Specter, Snowe, Collins]
Me ^ | February 14, 2009 | Cindy

Posted on 02/14/2009 2:52:11 PM PST by Cindy

Dear Chairman Steele,

When Specter, Snowe and Collins comes up for re-election; please do not support them.

Why would any conservative give money to the GOP; if the GOP does not support our values?

Please do support who is ever running against them.

If no Republican runs against them; still do not support them.

Our family never misses a vote.

Thank you for reading this.

Interesting...

I just emailed Michael Steele yesterday explaining that I would like to support the party....but only if the members were committed to living their conservative principles.

I sent a very similar message. I have read quite a few here as well.
I hope Steele proves me wrong but I’m not betting on anything public happening about this mess.

“I sent a very similar message. I have read quite a few here as well.”

Good. They need to keep hearing from us.

I still remember how the conservatives fought to prevent Arlen Specter from resuming the Chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee after he kept voting with the RATS each time. Even Pres Bush campaigned for this jerkoff. Yet, the committee voted unanimously (all the repubs who were the majority voted with the other RAT members) to keep Specter as chairman. I was so angry.

I have written to express similar feelings but took a different approach. I told them to remove me from their mailing list and membership roster if they intend to spend $.10 supporting SpecColl-Snowe or any other candidate that fails to live up to conservative values or principles.

We can write all the letters that we want but until we starve them of funds and begin to support conservative candidates they will play us for fools. The RNC is the only reason that Specter is still a Senator, Toomey would have defeated him easily.

I have the same thought - nothing will happen to the three RINOs. Specter, Collins and Snowe will keep all their various committee assignments and the other Repub Senators will praise them for voting their convections.

I understand what you are saying.

We have not given to the GOP for years, but have supported the candidates of our choice.

This is a good deal for us as we are targeting where we want our money being spent.

I still write my elected officials though.

I’m sure they appreciate my input (rolling my eyes).

“I was so angry.”

I understand.

A liberal is a liberal no matter what the letter is next to the name.

If a candidate wants to be a liberal or a Socialist; join the Democrat party.

I was too. It was a travesty! This was a moment of truth for the republicans to stay conservative and they miserably failed. I think this is really what got the whole moderate/rino ball rolling!

To Cindy and Mr. Steele,

Please, please, spend some effort with your staff to research the conservative, alienated groups out there that are NOT racist or neo-nazi and pull them together so we can be unified instead of wasting multiple efforts. Please organize the greatest internet-based campaign to recruit and organize BETTER than Obama did. Please recruit the BEST tech companies out there who’s CEOs and CTO/CIOs are NOT liberal weenies and get them to help our party. Please like Cindy said, TURN YOUR BACK ON THESE 3 and like the Catholic church does, EXCOMMUNICATE THEM. I will send in $ if you do stuff like this...we need a NATIONAL party like what Fred Barnes said in the WashTimes 2/14/09 in his write-up of Jeb Bush.

I just saw a commercial for Specter. Said that PA is hurting and Congress wasn’t helping or something like that. Then it said that Specter stepped forward and got it done. Said jobs will result and everything will be better. Then it asks us to call Specter and thank him for passing this.

I don’t think so.
